  1. I have had some hit or miss luck with Sears. Black Friday 2005 they substituted a 51" Sony HDTV for the Panasonic 51" HDTV that they ran out of. The Sony was $400 more but we got it for the doorbuster price. 2 weeks ago - we were looking for a deal on a HDTV so we didn't have to deal with the BF madness at BB or CC. We went to Sears and they had a brand new Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV on clearance for $899.99. It is last year's model but it was a BF type price and a decent screen size for the garage. The picture is great and we got it for a great price. We thought we would have to settle for a Vizio or Olevia but we were lucky to find a Sony Bravia.
  2. Anyone think that there will be any of the older style projection HDTV's available? Last year Best Buy had a 51" Hitachi for $699 and Walmart had a 52" RCA for $474. I wouldn't mind getting one for the garage. I would be happy with something like that Walmart deal from last year.
  3. We usually spend $1500-$2000 every year. We mostly go after electronics; TV's, camera's, camcorder's, PC's, and stereo equipment. Not much on other stuff. This year we are going after a few 42" Plasmas and a XBOX 360 system
  4. Got a futon today - they had 2 left. They were still marked $105 but rang up for $37. Awesome deal. I also picked up a clearance Klipsch iGroove speaker system for IPods and mp3 players for $43. I saw it at BJ's yesterday for $150 so it was one heck of a deal. I am considering picking one up as an XMAS gift.
  5. Last year I bought a 42" Panasonic Plasma 720P at Best Buy for $999. It was a highly rated model. Boscov's dept store has been advertising this year's model for $999 in their regular Sunday ads. Based on that I think you will see 42" Plasmas/LCDs around $799 for a brand name. Maybe even less for a OEM brand. I will be in the market for another 42" Plasma.
