  1. I wish we could find these deals!!! I loved the Play Wonder toys/food, etc. There were also some puzzles marked 30% off. Has anyone seen these go 50% off yet? We are in East TN and at least an hour away from a Target.

I am afraid to wait for 75% off  Things get picked over fast!!!

Thanks for all your help. Last year around this time I was able to get several things for my classroom because of this great board!!!

I got the Play Wonder tool bench for and Bosch play saw for 50% off last week. The bench was $29.xx and the saw was $4.xx. This was in South Texas.

  2. There is a lot of houseware items on clearance, too. I got 2 huge copper colored stoneware serving platters for $10 a piece, clearanced dwon from $40 (75% off) and a HUGE beveled glass mirror for $40.xx down from $150.
  3. We got to Target around 5:15, waited in line, booed the line jumpers to the point that they stopped and waited for the line to pass. I went straight to Toys and got the Hannah Montana dolls, my SIL went to get all of our DVDs, and my mom, went for the Magellan. She saw the mess that was in electronics so she went around the back around the perimeter and got one easy as pie! We were out of there by 6:30, no worries. The only thing you really had to watch for was the people with the big 37" TV running you over cause they couldn't see you b/c the box was so huge!
  4. Went to Target last night. Got some Halloween plates and napkins. I was there mainly for the big black and orange rubbermaid tubs but I had already missed those. I did get 6 Jello pudding mixes marked down from $0.99 to $0.68, some blue plastic dished makred down 75% from $2.99 to $0.74. My big find was a Thermos brand "Lunch Lugger". It's a good sized insulated lunch kit with a full size thermos attached to he top. 75% off from $49.99 down to $12.48! Perfect gift for my dad. I unfortunatly don't have the DCPI, it is one of those long printed red and white stickers and there are a lot more than 9 digits on it, plus it rang up as item not found, so she just keyed in the price. There were a few of them in the sporting good clearance endcap.
  5. Hey, I'm in SW Indiana, and we go lots of Christmases without snow, BUT do you remember Christmas 2004??? WHAT A WHOPPER!!! We had 20+ inches at Christmas that year.

I live in South, coastal Texas and WE had snow that year on Christmas! The most I've ever seen! People were building snow men on the beach.

  6. Alton Brown's brined turkey is the best! I use this recipe every year, both for Thanksgiving and Christmas eve. If you live in a warmer climate or just simply don't have the fridge space to put the turkey while in the brine solution, you can use a large Igloo ice chest. The round kind that you can get water, etc out of while at picnics and such. Works great and keeps everything nicely chilled.
