Just thought of something else - although I really like the Grocery Game and feel it is an excellent site for first-time couponers, one of the major down-sides is that the Lists came out on Sundays (sometimes uploaded late on Saturdays), and the store sales ended on Tuesdays - that only left Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday to shop (except CVS and Walgreens - had all week for those). Like the pp, it was also my hobby - i really enjoyed and and was very into it. Cutting and sorting the Qs was relaxing to me. I've told myself as soon as my house is thoroughly cleaned and organized, i'm going to get back into it.

I used to use the site, and it is great for someone that has never couponed before - it has a LOT of help about different ways to set up your Q system, pictures, the best ways to use the system, and lots of helpful tips - it was exactly what i needed since I had never used coupons before. I also work full time, so I don't have time to go through the ads, and i really don't think I'd find all the deals as are on the list (maybe once i got the hang of it I would). I can't remember the exact fees, - something like $10 for the first store and $5 fror each store after that for 8 weeks. I way earned the membership fee back and more with all the savings. I'm on a break from couponing, but I did find another site called couponmom.com to get the list for free (doesn't have as many stores) and also a yahoo group for my area. Their forums are very helpful (you don't have to have a paid membership to use them), but I thought a couple of those mods were very rude sometimes.

WOW!! Savings of 99% - what a great deal! -
I recently had to replace my not-so-old GE, also, so I would go with the Maytag from those choices. When I got my new one, it was from Best Buy and it was dented from when they tried to deliver it the previous week - it was $130 off original price because of the dent. It has a separate place for the downy and another separate place for the bleach, also has a double rinse option. I LOVE these features. Good luck!

Bridal Bargains is a GREAT 'budget wedding' book. -
I've never ordered from them, but my DS5 class needs Easter goodies. How long do they take for shipping? Do you think if I order today, I will get it within the next 2 weeks?

Thanks for the Walmart tip, Mina! I went to Walmart during lunch and picked up the Arthur and Clifford set for $1 (was marked $3), and i also got another launch pad of winnie and mickey mouse (and someone else) for $13. Not sure that I'll keep that one. I'm also gonna check out the other Walmarts if I have time this weekend - i'd really like to get the Barney and Wiggles one.

Need Xbox Live 12 Month membership
2kids-3dogs replied to sullivan45648's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I just got this for my son from Amazon - the same one you are referring to ($43). I looked everywhere and the only other deal i found was for the xbox live bundles (that had one or more of the following along with the membership: camera, ear piece, texting gadget, etc.). You probably don't need any of those since you've already had it for 3 years. hey - just now thought of this - what about ebay? or Craigslist? -
I didn't know Amazon had that policy of half-refund after 30 days (and also wasn't aware they pay the postage to return an item - thanks, afrey) . I do understand your anger, and also understand about being so busy with life that broken Christmas toys are not top priority. Anytime I buy from Amazon, I make sure it's something I will either keep or doesn't cost enough for me to fuss with returning because I am so bad about shipping out stuff. Some places draw the line at 30 days (or 60 or whatever their policy) for returns, and I just know if I am going to purchase from them, I'd better get it taken back within 30 days. They publish their return policy very clear, so it's only my fault if i don't get something returned within the 30 days. No one makes me shop there. It sucks you got so many toys/items that have broken. Since you only mentioned the nerf hoop thing in your letter, you could try to ask them about your other broken items. They have really good customer service - if you explain each item and what is wrong with it, i don't think it's unreasonable for them to make exceptions since you purchased numerous defective items from them. Now you are well aware of the policy (and so am I) - you can take em or leave em - up to you. Good luck with the new little one and congrats!
