I decided not to waste my time emailing that clown at WM. He is doing that to fire us up and he does not want the world to know the truth so he comes out smelling like a rose. I went ahead and as nerdie as it is I sent a email telling other retailers that I was now going to be there customer and was kicking WM to the curb for good. wonder if i will hear anything back

WOW ! that is really sick and wrong to say we don't matter, we are the ones who keep the company "alive". seems they don't need us so we should "really" not go there again. I wish I would of read this before I came back from WM. coarse I did not spend much 10$ but still. We need to thank the other chains for not being like WM is and let them know we will shop at there stores from now on

I think if there is anything I want for him I will have my friends buy it and then I will pay them for it. He will never know if I am putting them up to it or not. If he asks I wil just lie, I can usually lie about something like this to them with out laughing.

Oh my gosh that is sooo strange that he wants to go. Do you think its the same thing - they like the thrill of the crowd and the challenge of trying to get things and the feeling of the season ?? It really took me by surprise I would of thought that he went with and said, NEVER again. I think he will have to have a walkie Talkie in case we lose him

Oh my gosh my son wants to join me now on BF! He is 11 years old and thinks its going to be the best ever:eyepoppin This is how it started ( first let me say is has NEVER been a shopper) , I went to our Farm and Fleet for ToyLand to open this weekend. He said," oh come on I really want to go!!" I agreed figuring he would want to never shop again:smart: . WRONG we were outside for 30 minutes waiting for the doors to open. He had his basebal cap, sweatshirt, and his Ipod in hand ready to stand out there. we recieved hand warmers from the store while we waited. Then he was really loving that:smirk: . he saw how long the line was behind us and said, THIS IS AWESOME! . I warned him as we got in to watch out he does not get run over. He is very lucky he can sneek by where adults can not. He came in very handy for me;) . I had what I wanted in a short amount of time but he wanted to walk around and be in the crowd of people so I stood on the side talking to someone I knew while he had fun with it. we finished paying, left and hopped in the car. I said , now just so you know BF is probably 9-10Xs more crazy. He said, REALLY???? THAT IS EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!!!! :shock: He said I have to go with you that is going to be sooooo much fun. I told him ya well me and Crystal and Sara are going . Perfect he said, US 4 wil have a blast!! DH is having a fit and wanted to know what is wrong with him!!??? He did not ask me to get him a single thing he just loved the feeling of the crowd and the shopping experience we all have here.

I am self employeed and so I close for the day:) , I do daycare from my home. I decided that I would just state it in my contract so I never forget to tell them I am off for the day ( with pay ). even if I don't go one year for some insane reason its nice to have off for the day! you know you love to shop when you state in a contract your off to shop on BF!

I have to say this ad must really not be very good. If we stop and think about it years prior , when the ad was great no problems. NOW that the last few ads have been "leaked" over the years it seems they get more and more upset. This years ad probably had more of the robes from last year and all the other really ridiculous things. They are afraid if we see the ad that we will go someplace else to get our items. they more then likely thought that we would of been the opposite..... us thinking that its a great ad and all that stuff .... the plan backfired~ I would like the ad out but I also know that if its not ,I have alot of other places to go and get what I want. I would rather give my money to a company that treats customers properly most of the time then to someones company is well..... you know. All the sales they have now that they are talking about are probably there big sales , we just have not realize it yet. Last year they had some bargins on items here and there.... seems its a repeat of last year.

I am guessing that the ad this year must REALLY suck! Why on earth would you bite the hand that feeds you that way! I can tell you that I shop there ALOT for convience, after this BS and threats they are giving they lost my business if they don't knock this off . You would think they would hand it over to show how great it will be after last year with the bath robe bit! Next on the list is a phone call.

He is 11 and is in charge of the class Christmas party this year. He is really excited about the party and what he has planned and the commitee he has now as well;) . I asked him what he has planned, he said we are not going to exchange gifts with class memebers. He is asking for the money used for a gift to be brought to school and they are giving it to the Humane Society for Xmas. I said thats a great idea! I know every year they are talking how they need food and animal things on the radio. They are also going to have a Xmas movie, treats and games but that is the big event as far as giving this year.

I am the only one who won't mind stove top stuffing, so I thought I better get something else. How do you guys get your mashed potatoes to be NON LUMPY??? I try with a mixer and all that stuff and they still are lumpy!

there are 9 familes plus his parents there are 22 kids that range in age from 25-2 years old. I have never had to cook in that large of quanities so I have no idea how much of anything to plan on. I think telling people to bring items will save alot of headache for me. Thanks for the help! I am worried this will be a big flop and ruin the day for everyone and never live it down

Ok somehow it seems we are the ones making Turkey dinner for 40 family members ( all are dh siblings there spouses, kids and his parents) I am not a great cook by any means. I try don't get me wrong but just don't have the nack for it to be WONDERFUL. I am not wanting to do this but it got tossed in my lap some how:no: I plan to give out things for people to bring but I need to still make a lot of things and provide drinks as well. I am not ready to spend a arm and a leg on this either. I have 1 turkey and dh thinks he can get another one from work. I need a turkey dressing recipe , stove top stufing will not cut it! Anyone have any suggestions of things to make? Maybe even a cook book or website to find yummy items.

I used to go alone and LOVED it. Now I go with a friend of mine, she gets into it as much as me:yup: . I do all the driving ~ she buys breakfast on the run and gives me a few bucks for gas.

I picked up a pair for my dd8 ,granted they don't say the word HEELY on it but they look like them, and the wheels don't need to be taken out there is a little thing you turn for them to come in and out of rolling. for 19.99 at Farm and Fleet of all places! I never shop there but my SIL saw them and picked 2 pair up for her girls and then of coarse my dd8 wanted them. far cry from cost of the real ones and look like them too.

Well I just gained a closet!!!! My ds who is 11 is no longer a believer in Santa, so he is going to be in on the hiding game. I figure if i make it fun and like he has a secret vs. it being a bummer knowing about santa, he will still enjoy it all the same. So now I have his closet in desperate measures, our closet, the basement, and the garage.

The other night my dh said , how come you never use your Ipod much lately?? He said I don't know . whats the big deal its from Santa anyhow?! Then he said , do you guys put stuff under the tree??? My dh said, Hang on I will be right back, well thats not a dead give away now is it! He came down told me what was up and I said , well he needs to know he is turning 11 and all the kids know at school basiclly. SO we told him and he was very shocked .he was not sad or anything that we could tell just seemed surprised. He said , how am I not going to tell my sisters by mistake?? I said you do as always write letters and the entire bit. Dh said if you ever tell them we would be so mad and so would they ( they are 8,5, and 1). We told him he can help us with wrapping hidding things stuff to make it fun for him to be in on the game. the next morning he came down stairs before school and sat on the couch by me and said~ " So there really is no santa??" with a smile . I said well there is its just me and dad. He said , I its just so hard to believe that you guys do the gifts. He said well if I ask for a computer AGAIN this year and get it I know your lieing to me and there really Santa coming to our house. He thinks we are lieing to him about us being santa now! His friend was over before football and he said , Do you believe in santa and he said no I figured it out in first grade! My son said, OH! I found out yesterday! his buddy spit his drink back into his cup with a giggle at him.

I usually go over board, in a big way one year my husband asked if I left anything for anyone to buy! the living room floor was covered i think each kid of the 2 we had then had like 15 gifts from just santa! then from us there was another 10 so we really over did it. I now tend to over do it BUT when I take my inventory of what I have and then do some returning before xmas so i don't always over do it. this year it will be a small number of gifts from us because we will be at WDW for the holiday, so each kid is getting like 4 things and thats it from mom and dad.
