Yes, but it's not positive. I had to dump the hard drive on my computer, did that and after everything was reinstalled, I plugged in magicjack. Magicjack will not work now at all. I spent hours on line chatting with what they call tech support and never did get it going! BEWARE- they 30 day free trial starts the day they send it!!! Today is technically my 30th day, but the tech support chick said that I was out of may trial period and couldn't return it. You might say I'm pissed since I haven't had it 30 days!

Thank you Marcster, I will! Since I posted about the Skype, I'm thinking it is the Iraqi internet service that DH has, it is bad at best (and expensive). I have never used Skype other than to talk to him. I'll have to try to find someone within the USA to Skype.

You don't have any ear, nose, throat (ENT) specialist in your area? Wow. I guess we assume that you need to hold ear plugs in that is is due to tubes in the ears, hence the ENT suggestions. Good luck!

Keep in mind some people just need something to whine about. The majority of feedback is positive and some are neutral and the rest are more than likely whiners. I would buy from this seller and have bought from sellers with the like feedback many times and I have not had a problem yet.

Did you happen to pay for the faster shipping?I've heard stories about people not receiving the unit when they paid extra for the faster shipping. When I ordered, I just used regular shipping and had no issues. You say in your OP that they debited your account $47.00 and this will end up costing you $120.00 how is that? Even if they charged you twice that wouldn't be $120.00. I recently had to close my Visa due to fraud. Although it was a real Visa and not a debit card...I have received all of my credits (and I'm still getting them) under the old number. I think they can receive money under that number for a while, just can disperse it. Hopefully for you that is the case. I'm sorry that you are having such issues with them. More importantly I hope that you get it worked out!

Two years ago or so I got the DVD player with two screens that are exclusively sold at Target. My kids have loved them and I have hod no problems with them. I think I paid around $200.00 for them, but I would guess that the price has come down by now.

15% restocking fee would have been a MUCH cheaper way of going! That would have only been $30.00, much less than two years worth of service. If you paid $200.00 for the box, and they called it a rental why on earth would you also pay $9.95 per month for equipment rental? A thought, when you "bought" that receiver at Best Buy, did you just take it to the register and pay for it? Or did you have to give them personal information such as name and address? Generally when it is a lease you have to provide such information so if the receiver is not activated they know who to charge. Maybe it's me, but this does not add up.

Oh, Marcster I wish! Skype is REALLY bad. That is the means of communication between my DH and myself while he is in Iraq. The call quality is very bad, calls are dropped (almost every call) and the sound quality is inconsistent. The only reason that we stick with it is because it is much faster than letters and not fifty cents per minute via land line. I takes much longer to communicate via Skype, but for the money that's what we will do.

Yes, I know that. We leave the PC on 24/7 anyway (not sure why we do, it's not used very often). Okay, now for the report on Magic Jack: I have not used it but my DD has a handful of times and every call was dropped! I really like the times she was on it and I could use my regular land line, but it doesn't seem worth it. I'll give it another week or so, but it looks like it will be going back.

I just received mine and have to hook it up. I will post when I do. I'm not worried even after reading Marcster's post, as I will be putting it on a desktop computer. The only person in the house that really even uses that pc is a six year old. The rest of us use our laptops!

I've had three, Motorola, D-Link and Linksys. I like (and have had the fewest problems with) Linksys. I hated and had the most trouble with the D-link (I would never recommend that brand), Motorola was middle of the road.

Link give me a message that the item is sold out. There is a large banner on the top of that page that states "Free shipping on all mailable orders over $49.00". If you could add something to get it to $49.00 you should qualify for free s&h.

The burden off proof is on them (Fed ex has to prove that they delivered it). I hope you get it very soon, if you haven't already.
