  1. Our stores were out of the train table well before Christmas but I did score one last year at 75% off. In fact that's what Santa gave DS this year complete with tons of Thomas the Train stuff that I had been buying up at Michael's for 75% off when they discontinued carrying it. So my rambling story means that they should go 75% off when the other toys do unless they throw a curveball at you. :)

As a newbie, can I inquire why people want the dcpi #s? Just curious as to what I'm missing with that information.

    Thanks!

I have over 10 Targets in my area so I call the stores first to see what the price is for an item and to see how many they have in stock. I give Guest Services the DPCI and they look up all the info really quickly. When that particular store doesn't have the item in stock, they can use the number to tell me which other stores show the item in stock and how many the system thinks the store has. The system updates every night, but it's not always accurate for clearance items. It still helps me though so I don't have to drive to each and every Target store in my area.

  2. Went to a Target tonight (not mine) on the way home and totally SCORED the Lionel $200 train set for only 44.99. I'm so stoked cause my son LOVES trains and this is a really nice one. I will be going back tomorrow to see if my Target marked down. BTW our Target in Manteca, CA. marked down Garden today and had some awesome deals on solar lighting and porch lights for 75% off.

Which train set is it? The only one I've seen is the Lionel Christmas Story one, which I got for 75% off. :) Can you post a picture or link of the one you got and the DPCI? I'd like to check my stores for it because my son loves, loves, loves trains too!

  3. Reporting from San Jose CA!

No go on the 75% off on the toys at my store, they are still at 50%. I will go back tomorrow to try for one of the geo trax zoo train sets. As mentioned above there were great deals in the baby department. Crib bedding was as low as $3.98 per sheet, undies, sippy cups, feeding, pacifiers, potty training, Johnson and Johnson gift sets, etc. There was at least two items on clearance in each category. Good Luck fellow bargain hunters!

I'm from the same area! Which stores do you shop at? If you're not too far, the RWC store had a lot of toys at 75% off last week. The sign only said 50% off though.

  4. bought the smart cycle for 50% off yesterday but no games. if anyone finds the games for 75%, PLEASE pick them up. I will pay for them plus shipping. You'll make my DD a very happy girl!!!!

One of my Targets already had the Smart Cycle games for 75% off. I think they were $6.98. They had Thomas the Train, Matchbox cars, Scooby Doo, Sponge Bob, and Cars. If I knew you wanted them, I would have picked them up for you today. They had a ton of them left at that store. Sorry. :(

  5. I went to one of my Targets last night and it was 90% off. There were tons of ornaments left.

I did find a Christmas themed paper punch set. It had a clearance sticker of 30% off and only scanned at that same price. I took it up to the cashier and asked if it was 90% off and she told me that the price is what the sticker said. I said that the other Christmas stuff was 90% off and she said it didn't include stationary-type stuff. Grrrr.

Also, if anyone sees a double stroller on clearance, can you please let me know and include the DPCI number? I have several Targets around me (over 10 in my area) and usually call around to check prices and stock, so I don't have to drive around to each one.

  6. I just got back from Walmart and Target and both of had Zhu Zhu pets just sit on the shelves. I wasn't really looking for one, but when I saw them, I decided to just get one for my two sons anyhow. They were $7.99 at Target and $8.00 at Walmart. They had four different colors. I was also able to get an accessory from Target also. Our Walmart had a sign that said they will get at least 72 per day. It said one per customer and that they would be in the jewelry dept. However, I went back to the toy department and there were a ton of them just sitting on a shelf. I think you could have bought as many as you wanted.
  7. Can anyone tell me if the new coupon book has any toy coupons? My daughter just informed me the one thing she would like for Christmas is the FurReal friends Lulu. Of course, after the toy book expired! I know they will sometimes take expired coupons, will they take expired toy book coupons? Thanks

There are some "new" toy coupons on Target's website, but none are for FurReal. Some Targets take expired manufacturer coupons, but I don't think they take their own expired coupons.

  8. I bought a Tom Tom during the the 2-day sale and noticed that there is a 10% off Target Tom Tom Q out now. Anyone know if Target will let me me bring in my receipt and apply the coupon now? I know they have let me do it in the past, but I don't know if the rules are different with BF items. I didn't see the printable coupon before BF, but I know there were people that got the coupon catalog in the mail before BF and the coupon was valid to use.
  9. I went to one of my Targets and asked for a PA. The CS lady helping me said she couldn't do it. Then I told her that another store was PAing and that there were several Target around the US that were doing it and asked her if it was specifically THIS store that wasn't doing it. She asked the other employees in the CS area (there were 4 others) if they were PAing for the black friday items and they all said no. Then I complained a little more saying it should not be a problem because another Target in the area would do it (I even told her which one). Then she told me that I should go try there instead because they weren't doing it at their store. I walked away, called corporate and asked if I could get a PA today. They said yes and asked to speak with someone at the store. I walked back to GS with my phone in my hand, told them what corporate said, and one of the employees at GS (the manager?) then said he would do it (even though he specifically said they couldn't before). I told corporate that they were going to do it and she asked for the store number. They guy ended up being SUPER friendly aftewards and PA'd all my items. Then he proceeded to tell me that there was just confusion about what the original question was and blah blah blah...I think he was just trying to cover up for his mistake earlier. While I was getting my PAs, three other guest asked the other employees for a PA and the employees walked over to the guy that was helping me and asked if they were doing PAs. He said yes to each one and one of the employees even said to him "we are?" I hate it when you have to argue with employees about their store policy!
  10. Does anyone know who gets the call when you call a Target store directly? I pushed 0 for the operator, and wonder if I should've requested to speak to someone in Guest Services...I intend to go there tonight anyway, since someone said the pajamas were already on sale, to get a few things, and I think I'll just casually ask someone in Guest Services while I'm there...

If you pressed "0", you will get the operator. It's not someone in Guest Services. If you want someone in GS, you will have to ask the operator for GS.

  11. If I were you, I would buy one now, then go in on Friday to see if there are any left on the shelf. If there is one, buy it and return the one you bought today. If there isn't any left, go to CS and try to get a price adjustment on the one you bought today.
