I am so STUPID!!!!! I sent the leapster back to them with the battery in it. I forgot to take the battery out. I tried calling them, but they are of course closed. Its 11.40pm EST. Tomorrow they are closed too. And i tracked my package, it has departed from NJ. Oh man! I can kill myself for making such a stupid mistake.

UPDATE: Well the screen is working now. It has been going off and on since then. What should i do? Should i send it back? If it works when they receive it, will they send the same one back or will they give a new piece. I definitely know I have a defective piece, but will they understand this. I wish the device can make up its mind, either not work all the time, or work all the time.

i went to walmart last week and bought few toys from their clearance section. They did not even have 30% off on some of them, barely 15%. And the max was 35% that i saw, not even 50%. Unfortunately i bought a few toys anyway because my kids wanted a few things which i did not find in stock in other stores. I bought $11 toy for $7. My heart was aching becoz the broken dusty boxes of toys were barely worth a dollar or 2, but its hard to explain that to a 3 year old. I have even checked my target, i think they dont do that good either where bringing down clearance toys are concerned. I havent found the prices like i paid on amazon in any of the store. I had a galla time shopping amazon during their toy sale. I just wish I had acted fast enough on those deals and not have missed some of the deals since now i am paying so much more for those toys.

well i bought it at leapfrog website itself. i wasnt expecting a good reception, i have had lots of problems with their customer service. but i am glad that i am atleast getting a new one instead of just running out of 30 days return time.

Update: Yup, you guys are right! it was screen not the stylus. I called Leapfrog customer service. They asked me to press a few things etc. And at the end said that its defective and needs to be replaced. They asked me to mail it to them and then 10-15 days later i will get a replacement. Even though its not my fault, they say i have to pay for the shipping. well, anyway to get a working leapster. Its been 30 days already, I dont think they will just take it back. And even if i get a new one from some other store, no guarantee that that one wont be defective etither. I told them ok. I will mail it first thing monday. Pretty disappointed though. Expected these things to do well. Its not a cheap item.

I bought a blue leapster for my son from leapfrog.com in the first week of december. its been a month since he has been using it, and the pen stopped working. I dont believe that. He takes pretty good care of it. he has never dropped it. Anybody had similar problems??? I am wondering what to do. I saw leapfrog.com sends replacement pen for $5, but should the pen even stop working after a month of use. Is this a defective leapster lmax??? I am not happy.

did they charge you shipping for the cover?? I checked my sons Lmax and it does not have any cover. I checked every side of the box, in and out. I still havent opened my daughters lmax since i am saving it for her bday on 23rd. I hope hope hope it has the cover. I am going to call them and ask for the cover....but wanted to know if they made you pay shipping on your cover. Because I dont think it will be worth it to pay $5-8 shipping for just a cover.

YOu guys are right, I tried again after my lunch and it refused the first 2 times but the third time, it accepted it. :) of course by then i had lost couple from my cart since they went out of stock. but nevertheless, i did manage to get some gifts for Valentines day.

I would suggest you talk to her and tell her that these gifts are for her kids and you are expecting a specific gift from her. Then tell her that the gift you are expecting from her is that she will give you the happieness of seeing her(ur friends) kids face light with happieness when they get this gift. Tell her it will be the biggest gift she can give you, a gift does not HAVE to be materialistic. Tell her all these things and I bet she will have tears in her eyes and will hug you and she will say 'thank you'. happy ending.

my list is not too long.....just a chef - I havent eaten proper meal in months cleaning lady - Havent seen my house spick and span in years nanny - havent had break from taking care of 2 little ones since first one was born a house - living in cockroach infested apartment since last 3 yrs storage - there isnt enough space to put all the toys, clothes or food big screen tv - eye signt not that great for 27' tv peace around the house - non-stop commotion AND I dont want to see another cockroach in my LIFE!!!!! that wasnt that bad, right?

On leapfrog website its for $28. But then ones has to pay $6 shipping and tax, which comes to same as Amazon's price.
