  1. I bought the Spongebob one last year and it's great! We haven't had any problems with it! Both the TV and DVD player work like they did on Christmas day! Our WM had them in the card aisle. They only had about 10.
  2. Yes, I saw that on the news here in Chicago. On the news tho, they said that the ads will be available on Thanksgiving on their website.
  3. 8th year!! I can't wait! I've got the walkie-talkie's ready!!!
  4. Last year, I bought my daughter a RCA Lyca and it is great! It durable, is easy to use, and the batteries last pretty well. I wasn't about to buy an iPod for a 9 yr old...
  5. We open ours as soon as Santa drops them off...usually around 2am. We store everything in the shed so they are nice and cold. Then shut the door and ring bells. The kids sleep very light and they wake up to those bells.
  6. You don't know their intentions either. People use different services for different reasons. Some have posted they use layaway because it's a great way to hide presents, and it is. Others use it so they can pay a little at a time, and others use it to hold the stuff until the next payday. If the xbox 360's were on sale and you didn't have the money and put them on layaway, what's wrong with that? I don't get paid until the 30th...would I be wrong if I put them on layaway until I get paid on the 30th? No. What exactly is the hood? Is this were people with less money than others live...then I guess I live in the hood too. I don't know what area you live in and it really doesn't matter. People are people whether they are rich or poor.
  7. I am SO offended at this! Granted, our WM doesn't allow Blitz items on layaway. If they did, I would probably have bought more than I did. Why? I am what you referred to as *economically challenged*. I have 2 kids, I work my tail off and I try my hardest to give them a good Christmas. I can't afford to buy the Spongebob TV and DVD Player at full price. If I could, I would have done it a long time ago. I would have loved to get a laptop but it wasn't in the budget. My budget didn't consist of much but when my kids open up the few presents they are going to have on Christmas, they will have smiles on their faces. THAT'S what's important. Don't look down on the *economically challenged* people...you could become one quicker than you could ever imagine. It's sad when people are so hung up on an image. You will never know your own destiny!
  8. The Target I went to was wonderful... The manager came and gave those of us who were in line some coffee to warm up with. I went right after WalMart, so I was there at 5:30 and there was only about 10 people there. The employees came out and said "Good Morning" to us. Asked everyone to remain calm and please respect the fact that quantities were limited. I usually go to Target after WalMart for that reason. They are very helpful, they replenish their stock, and the check-out lines were reasonable. The only thing that was a "must have" from there was the Gameboy Bundle. I was the 2nd to grab one too! Thanks Target for for keeping your cool on BF!
  9. We were in and out of Walmart in 20 mins, and got in at Target and was 10th in line! The Target Manager at the Villa Park, IL was awesome! He even brought the first few people some coffee to warm up with. From Walmart: The Spongebob TV & DVD player $99.88 From Target: Gameboy Bundle $68.88 Finding Nemo (GBA) $9.99 Princesses (GBA) $9.99 Simpsons (GBA) $9.99 2 Scooters $19 each 2 Campfire Bratz $10 each
  10. The one I wanted the most, Target
  11. Ours hands out tickets for the big items (tv's and computers) and they have trailers in the parking lot and you bring your car around to pick them up. It worked very nice when I bought the 27" tv last year. They helped me put it in the car too! To my understanding, they had problems with people grabbing the big tv's and putting them in carts and then they topple over and break.
  12. It is at the Wal-Mart I go to as well...although, I thought it was 10, but I could be wrong.
  13. At the Wal-Mart I frequent, you cannot put anything on layaway during the early bird specials. There is usually an announcement and they tell you that you can begin layaways at 10am, I think. Before they stopped it, the lines were so long, you couldn't get thru the aisles. I don't know if it is this particular one (Villa Park, IL) or if it is a policy for all stores. But, if you do manage to find something from the EB special, the price is usually the same throughout the day, once again, at this particular store.
  14. Wal-Mart & Target...those are the usuals. Wal-Mart only takes us about 20mins and we are in and out. Surprisingly, Target is always empty! It's a nice place to cool down :)
