  1. If you have an Archivers nearby, sign up for their mailing list. You get 5 free sheets of cardstock every couple of months in their newsletter, plus they send additional coupons on the email list.

I don't buy anything there without a coupon - too pricey - but some of their clearance sales are *very* good.

  2. I wonder if they're actually trying to say maximum number of certificates per party is 2 instead of the usual 1?

You might want to just call and ask. Couldn't hurt! ;)

Edit: It seems really weird. I do know I've seen some strange ones. The restaurants write their own restrictions, so it would be best to ask them directly about it. Esp. since the place seems really expensive otherwise!

  3. I did get my Pravda Vodka card yesterday and I got my Murad Skincare last weekend.

However, I do think my mailman may keep my samples because I always see posts for stuff I signed up for then I never get it!

Have you been able to find the Pravda vodka anywhere? I'm beginning to believe no where in Illinois has it.

And I do think sometimes my mailman keeps my samples - and sometimes he throws me some for other people. So its probably that if they fall out of your mail bundle, oh well.

I've gotten a lot of the cereal ones, sample bars, etc. I tend to not get the makeup and candle ones, like, ever.

  4. I remember seeing that in my Dominick's ad too that started yesterday. Planned to go tonight and get some!

EDIT: We did! We ended up buying 12-12 packs and 2 bags of tostitos, plus 2 12 pks of water and some cheese that was one sale.

In the end, we got 6 free 12 packs, 2 12 pks of water and $2 off the cheese, as well as the $25 gift card and a coupon for 10 cents off per gallon.

So we spent $35 and got $30 back. Not bad!

  5. ok i have my order sitting in my cart, ready to checkout. im scared though since i went way over board. my total is $200...... but to make it sound ok, lol, i got rid of 1 birthday gift, 4 xmas gifts and of course, things for me that i have to try, lol.

the majority of my order is the wallflowers with various scents.

Seriously? That's great though. Doing all of your holiday shopping at once does save you money - you're not out looking at so much stuff wishing you had it.

And the wallflowers are normally nearly $25 at my local store, so I think its worth it to buy a bunch for $5 (though overboard for me is $40 on my tight budget!)

  6. Avenue puts coupons in my coupon clipper mag every month (they come free in the mail) for 40% off.

I signed up for Lane Bryant's mailing list and get a $15 off of a $15 every three to six months. A lot of the time I'll get $15 off of $50 and I'll go and get a ton of stuff.

Salvation Army is great too because they get a ton of brand new Target clothes in, and price them less than $6 each. I just got two new denim jackets for $5.50 there.

Otherwise, I make a lot of my own knock-offs of high fashion. If you're into that, I'd urge you to hit up craftster.org, because there's a ton of gals there that make their own clothes.

  7. Oh, I use it too! I generate a few hundred minutes a year, and then use points.com to turn them into travel rewards points (the days inn program, I think that's what its called) and use them for hotel stays (way more useful than long distance when you have a cell phone!) Its great - most of the time I just fill in my junk email address and get 6-10 minutes.

EDIT: I forgot to add when I was in Canada, the site was great b/c I could use the 200 minutes or so to call my parents for free from the hotel since it was a 1800 number. Fantastic!
