  1. Did your ad say that you had to have a minimum $25 of some sort of purchase....how does that work?

I thought that too but if you read carefully, that is for a different ** thing. The coupons "rules" are listed seperate. That would sure kill any deals on coupons if it was for that!
  2. 1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why?

    2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday?

    3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF?

    1. For me it was Office Depot just because they had several things very cheap that were on my list to get. And, they are an easier in & out then most. Walgreens also was a very good one for me last year, and that is REALLY an easy in & out. Now, no one asked, but the worse was Meijer because they wouldn't PM the other BF ads last year.

    2. When you're checking it out on GD & in the paper ads and making your lists, top on the list must be the time of opening. Then, jiggle your list around to see how you can possibly be at 10 places at one time, LOL! If you are lucky enough to have all night stores that PM, go several hours before the BF ad starts and at least get all your PM picked out. Better yet, get your lists off GD & go check out where they carry the items & also PM days before BF. Be organized, get your AM specials & get out--go back later for things that aren't so important.

    3. Price match. Also, organize the sale--tickets are great, but the big box stores that use them usually have one line for each item, and you can't get through a line, and get another item so I don't like that. I like Staples because they have table "stations" set up for all their best stuff as you go in. You stop at each table & get a ticket for whatever items you want as you enter the store. When the tickets are gone, the items are all sold & that table puts up a sign saying so. Also, some following of the stores regular place for items would be great. (Meijer, again, but WM too). I don't like when I spend the time looking for an item, only to find it's in some bizarre place in the store and by that time, it's all gone. Maybe a map/ad combo with the location of each buster and whether it's by ticket or line or whatever would be enough to make me choose that store first. Lastly, open OFF schedule with the other stores. When I have to choose, some get OFF the list completely. ABC always gets a visit for just this reason!

  3. Just got back from stacking a cart fairly full of stuff I want and moving it to another department then covering it with stuff from that department. Doesn't always work, but doesn't hurt to try. Moved a few things into the newly re-set aisles too, hoping they'll miss all but the ones I left for them to scan. Now, if the overnight team isn't too diligent, it should help me get a few of the things I want tomorrow.

Gotta know, was your cart intact this morning for your shopping pleasure, hehheh??

  4. One store about 1/2 the cl. toys were 75%, other store a friend checked out & said nothing went 75% yet, so I am headed out again in the AM.

For all not being marked, how did I spend $180!!!!!!!

One of the Xboards had a $2.00 peelie, but only could find one.

    Where are the Cranium coupons???

    Happy Hunting!

  5. I wonder if they would have these prices or close to in the stores..... thinking of going to the mall this weekend

Supposedly their clearance is 70% off original prices right now, it might be a % off the current clearance but I'm not sure about that. I printed an online 15% off coupon for in store use today but then never made it out there.

  6. and I'm so looking forward to it.. DS's feet will not quit growing... this year should be a challenge. I'll be looking for shoes in size 14- everyone wish me luck! :yup:

Try Sears, both on & off line. I saw size 14's in name brands for as low as 9.99! I thought every ones 12's around here were big LOL!

BTW, if you really want an item online at Sears, putting it in your cart won't protect it. I lost every 4.99 to 9.99 shoe I had in my cart Sat morning by shopping too long.

Anyone looking for skater type shoes, they had some left in some sizes for 9.99.

  7. Just went to Old Navy last night and they have 50% off clearance items! I combined it with an ON weekly coupon....all in all I got 2 pairs of jeans, 6 shirts, 3 pairs of infant pants, 4 infant dresses and infant pjs for $50!! :)

An EXTRA 50% off the clearance price, or just 50% off original price? TY.

  8. don't forget the Almay foundation one - $10 ECB bringing it down to $3.99 without any coupons (I'm doing the price from memory - so I could be wrong).

I can never find any PF coupons.

Although I haven't got too many recently, Rite Aid is usually a good source for makeup Q's on the displays of make up there.

  9. I'll just keep talking to myself in this thread:

California and Nevada store conversion people: SCAN YOUR CARD. This morning I got a 5/15 coupon, valid for only the next three days. Perfect for my planning this week!

So far this week with planning, it looks like it's $14 OOP and $14 back in ECB.

Yeah, where are the CVS people at anyway? Hardly any posts. There hasn't been very good deals...I have exp ECB and can't figure deals to use them on.

  10. Allright, I haven't been back to CVS since the new coupon rules were printed on the coupons. I found my 4/20 coupon, but I also found a 2/10 coupon on "sun care" items.

Banana Boat is $7 ECB back this week when you purchase two items. They start at about 9 something each. Think I could stack the two coupons?

I think so. They seem to keep changing the rules though. For all of one week , it was no way would/could they take an expired ECB, now it's OK within reason again.

  11. Did you all already have an account with them? If you don't, can you create one and then use the Bday code all at once? Has anyone ever used the code multifple times during the year?

For others looking, the prices shown already have the discount...I thought it was taken off in the cart & it wasn't.

Edit: OK so no one answered so I created an account, using my real BD month, not this month, and was able to use the code right away. 2 tees and a hoodie for $13.xx

When I searced under my size/clearance, it brought up a few items that I didn't see searching just the clearance.

  12. I thought I saw on here that someone said they didn't get their ecb when they bought the Colgate with the free toothbrush. I got them today, and they printed. Also found $1 peelie on Addidas. Got 3 Addidas & 2 Colgate, $1 MF on each one, paid with almost $13 ecb and got $13 ecb back.
  13. I was there today & got 2 of the Secret Gifts when you purchace $10. I was wondering from those who got these on the last promo is there a way to check them before you buy? Or do you just find out at the registers when you make a purchace?

    TIA for the replies. :)

If you mean like the secret santa shopping card at Christmas, yes they let you check those once they are within the spend dates.

  14. At lunch, so didn't have time for a good look, but the $1.00 sale items went 75% and lots of their gift merchandise, like the jewerly amoire, was 50%. Then there was a whole row with 75% signs, odds and ends of about everything but it was only scanning 50%. Also, if you have any of the $3.00 off 2 Sally Hansan products CVS coupons (they were in the beauty coupon paper a few months ago), they are BOGO and that makes the cheapest ones free or a few cent MM. Also, new beauty coupons out today.
