goshen, mishawaka, and south bend all at 75% Goshen had just started marking down at 1:30 When I asked about marking things that I knew were on clearance I was told that corp. office puts the sku's for mark down in, but that doesn't mean they are supposed to mark them down. And they get in trouble for marking things down earlier than they are supposed to. There must have been about 5-6 people with stuff in their carts waiting for hours for them to mark down. One employee refered to us as "savengers" I was also told that the dept MUST be reset BEFORE clearance was marked. In this recession I would think they would want to sell the cart loads of stuff that these 5-6 people waiting had and create a little good will than create crabby customers. In one of the stores in my area the entire toy section has been reset. The boys toys have a royal blue background and the girls has a pink back ground. It really looks like there are fewer aisles than there has ever been in the toy section. Not much left of clearance toys, it will be slim pickings if they don't go this Thursday. I did find a womans spiderman t shirt 50% off at 4.98.

On the subject of patio clearance, I noticed today that my store has already sold it's gazebo display and the compost bins were 30% off two weeks ago. My guess it will be going soon. HTH

When I have had to exchange something that was on sale I was told to ask for the 'price guarantee' that way it would be the sale price when I went to pay at the register. That was awhile ago. Some of the painting supplies were marked to 50%

I agree about the economy statement. Retailers need to stop whining about their sales if they don't want to sell stuff. I found valentine Pixos ringing 0.00. Told the cashier 90% off 4.99 would be .49. She insisted on calling the manager and telling me that salvage can not be sold. The manager came over and told me .25 each. Hmmm, I guess sometimes the manager can say good things about salvage:)

There was a good selection of baby clearance at my store, however it was only about 30% off. BUT it was in with the luggage. Those of you seeing this boxed up may want to look in all the aisles in the store for it. I did get a sensor hands free soap dispenser for 9.98 though!

I got to the toy section today and three people were scanning away. I was soo happy. Blah! A few things were going from 30 to 50% and that was about it. I did find: ###086081421 Tumbles the dog by FurReal

I went to my normal Target and saw someone I knew working the markdowns in mens. I asked her about the toys and she said that they have them coming in at 5am to mark just the toys. I visited another store around noon and no mark downs and I over heard two employees saying "Where are all the guns? no one is here from the mark down team, they all should be available." I am going to be sooo sad if eveything changed tonight. Bad news we are expecting 12 inches of snow tonight.

I hit 3 Targets today. All finally went to 90% on x-mas today. One was marking down toys, but not much was hitting 75% the only thing I really saw was a Barbie avent for $4.98. Most all was going to 50% or first round of 30%. The other two stores were only at 30% on the toys and no one was working the department. Sorry I don't have more of a list of toys marked down, I was in a hurry! Almost forgot! In the plush there are llittle horses that have a blue ribbon tag on them that say Beyer Plush... they were part of the stocking stuffers and are ring up @ $.49

The LPS advent calendars were still ringing full price here also. I did find a few pairs of girl's p.j.s mixed in with the rest of the p.j.s. Look for the RED tag.

My Walmart piced matched with no problem at all. HTH!

I found Kung Fu Panda for PS3 9.98 and the pink Brita water pitchers with bonus water bottle at 50% off. 13 something I think. And Aeosmith guitar hero for PS3 $12 something.

On Monday when I was in the school supply section there were about 4 employees boxing things up and placing stuff on the big flat carts and taking them to the back. Maybe that is what happened to a lot of school suppplies. I thought they were just moving stuff to set the Halloween. Hopefully they are donating!

As of tonight Goshen, Indiana store was 30% off school supplies!

But there was still ALOT still at 30%. Maybe they are marking down in waves this year.

First time poster, (since ya'll always beat me here) but I thought this was interesting I was at the service desk today talking to the woman running it and I made a comment about all the GB that was sitting back there. I said "Oh, alot of people must be returning because it went 75% off today." She said yes, and the sad thing was that it was going straight to salvage..........and that people were very upset that it wasn't going back to the floor so they wouldn't be able to rebuy. I thought it was kind of sad........I like to find those one of a kind clearances that someone has returned!
