Weird - stopped at the Target in Florence, KY, and found an endcap with a few odds and ends of Christmas stuff, INCLUDING the scotch tapes. But scanned it all and it only came up 30% off? Toys still only 30-50% off.

Found a huge stash of christmas pj's for my daughter and new baby on the way, and all were salvaged. They said they would sell me ONE pair at 50% and gave me a lecture about how I should never expect it again. BAH. Who needs 50% off pjs when yesterday they were 90%?? Toys still at 50% - scanned a couple of random things and all came up 50% as well. Didn't really see a lot of must-haves, either. Any updates on Cincinnati-area stores?

We just bought a grill at 50% - not sure the brand cause hubby bought it, but he said they were all just 50%. Didn't want to wait any more because our Target never seems to have anything that goes to 75%.

Got one (Tink) at the store! We had a 15% coupon, too, so it ended up being a great price. They also had quite a few BOGO free items, too.

Maybe this has already been addressed, but has anyone considered adding sub-forums to the online and offline deals section? For example, there are a ton of computer and technology deals that come through. They're great deals, but sometimes it is hard to wade through them all and find any non-tech deals. Fer example, perhaps have electronics, toys, clothing, general website deals (like amazon), etc. I guess it could limit access if you don't know which sub-forum to use, but to me it would be a big help!

I've used Kern, mysteryshops.com, and ShopnChek with success. They are all legit, fairly straightforward, and pretty easy to use. But I agree - I live in a smaller city and there aren't a lot of opportunities that are posted for my area. In a month, I might complete 3 or 4 mystery shops between all of the companies. There seem to be more shoppers than shops around here - they fill up very quickly. And, although I enjoy it, it isn't as exciting as the spam e-mails make you think. It really is a lot of work to prepare (read the materials, schedule the dates), then during the shop you have to remember all of the questions and procedures as well as the responses you get, and finally you have to go back home, fill out the paperwork, fax or scan the information, etc etc. All in all, most of my local shops pay a shopping fee of $5-$9 plus a $1 reimbursement for a small item you purchase (so that you obtain a receipt to verify the shop). The better shops are restaurants, because you do get a free meal for most of them, but they aren't that common here. I had one shop at a shoe store. When I was browsing the job site, I saw that you got to make a purchase of shoes and I thought Woo-Hoo!!! But then I read further and saw that part of the shop was to return the shoes that same day. Boo. Good luck!
