  1. In case anyone does not know about the "Publix Promise" - if an item scans at the register more than marked on the shelf or advertised, they will give you one of the items free. I found out this morning when I ended up making an impulse purchase of a really nice golf umbrella that was marked $12.99, but rang up $14.99. I questioned it to the cashier and just wanted it rung up at $12.99, but she called a supervisor over and they told me I get it for free! YAY!!!
  2. For the first time yesterday, I got a cashier who fought me on most of my coupons. She was saying she couldn't accept the cereal ones, the oreo ones and the granola bar ones because they were more than the item cost. But the ones for kissables went through even though it was for more than it came up on sale. But I told her and her supervisor that it's not my fault that a store coupon is more than it's on sale for and that it says "any" on the coupon - not for a specific size. Anyway - I was so proud - I got: 4 bags of MnMs 2 bags of Kissables 1 Cadbury creme eggs 1 Motts Apple Juice Bottle 2 Oreo Snack Bags (these are .89 by the granola bars at the register) 6 Granola Bar bags (marked clearance also) 2 bags Kisses 2 Gen Mills Cereal Cups 4 Kelloggs Cereal Cups for $0.74!!!!!
  3. Got my 3 gift cards yesterday. Whoo-hoo - let's go shopping!! Of course, DH saw them and said "That could buy me the sneakers I need". What's he trying to do, spoil my fun??! I WORKED for those cards!
  4. Went yesterday and saw the dollar spot items on clearance and of course, tons of Easter stuff and candy. They have so much, I'm sure it will go down to 75%, etc. I did buy a few bags of M-n-M's (didn't have my coupons - arggh), but still a great deal for $1.39. Has anyone seen the Men's Degree deodorant on clearance in their stores and if so, what is it marked down to? They had just put a ton out on one of the endcaps and luckily, that's the brand DH uses. I picked up a few since my hands were full and it didn't scan at the register so the cashier just put in $1.00. Cooooool! I went back and got more for a total of 10 and the woman who was behind me in line went too and got some also. Got a different cashier and he took our word on the $1.00. I should have told him less! But since I had the receipt, at least I could back that up.
  5. I usually think the same, but I got the BEST cashier this weekend! She was an older woman, looks like the type that would fight you on the coupons. NOPE! Instead, she would scan my coupons over and over to match the quantity she thought I had - even if I told her I thought I had less! I believe I was paid for buying several items!
  6. Found a pack of the .69 juice boxes!!! YAY!! They are NEVER in my store. And I happened to look and there was one of Apple Juice sitting by itself on the shelf! The rest were all 15 packs. I also got a Sesame Street "Tri Level" Puzzle (with rack I believe) for $3.48 - very cute for a 3 year old's bday party this weekend. They had several more.
  7. The toddler Disney soccer light up sneakers are adorable. I have to get a few pairs of those. They come up BOGO 1/2 off, even off the clearance price - so two pairs are only $18 and available for store pick up !! Whoo-hoo!
  8. Went yesterday and got: Dove Anti Frizz hair product - $1.44 (I'm sure I had a coupon at home for $1 off, but oh well!) 10 Choxies bars/tins and 5 bags of chips (2 small, 3 large including the honey mustard/onion pretzels & cinammon pita crips) Realized at the register that I forgot to buy something for DH he needed. Darn - had to go back today!! Found whole clearance section in lingerie - got great bras & stuff for $3.48 & $1.48 (75%). Got a notebook for 69 cents. Got more Choxie Bars/Tins and chips (small & large). I think they missed one chip coupon - oh well. I can't believe how much chocolate I have in this house! I saw a large box of Calphalon cookware on clearance and got all excited. But the sticker said $139.99. Decided to go scan it "just in case" it's cheaper and it actually scanned at full price. I'll have to keep my eye on that one. I also saw large packs of Charmin 30 Double Roll TP and it scanned $11.xx. Not too bad, but didn't get any.
  9. I used the Purell coupon on the full size one ($1.50 off of $2.74 I think), but it was the Ocean Mist one, and I had no problem.
  10. I have only seen them at the registers. They have lots of them at my store in South Florida. They usually have 2 flavors of the bars there and then the tins near them or on the row below. They also have still had plenty of the 99 cent chips as well. I feel so funny going through checking each register lane. I feel like I'm being watched.
  11. I went out of town so I'm sorry if this is outdated, but I got some really good deals before I left about 1 1/2 weeks ago: Gameboy game of classics - Millipede, Super Breakout and another game, Lunar Lander - $2.98! It was not marked down or with a red sticker. It was with the value games and that's the price it came out when I scanned it. Cha-Ching! Big box of Pop-Tarts on an endcap of clearance. Had 3 individual boxes inside of different chocolate flavors (they also had big boxes of strawberry and other flavors.) It was around $3.48 AND has a $5 off of a Disney DVD coupon you can use on Little Mermaid, Pirates of Caribbean 2, Cars, Nemo, and others on their list - expires 3/31/07.
  12. The coupons also work for the tins of dark chocolate mints (like Jr. Mints), white chocolate mints and I think the other tins are chocolate covered espresso and spiced caramels. I like the mints because then I won't eat the whole thing in one sitting like a chocolate bar (key lime one -yummy!! I haven't dived into all the others yet)
  13. Hmmmm - I buy the milk all the time (1%) and no one has complained. I don't drink it so I'll have to ask my son, but I add chocolate or strawberry syrup to it, so who knows? I hope they don't complain - that would be inconvenient to then have to go to Publix to get the milk if I did groceries at SuperTarget. Never had a leaking problem. Oh - speaking of finding stuff in different sections, the other day I found a pair of sporty pants with the clearance sticker ($4.xx) for my son on an endcap in the CD/DVD section!! They were the perfect size/color for DS next year! :)
  14. This is true and also they told me you can only return items without a receipt twice in a one-year period if you don't have the card or it was a gift, etc. I went last night - no fake crocs for Dad in his size, but I got 3 shirts on clearance for $4.98, full size Adidas soccer ball for $7.48 (exact ones in different colors were scanning between $20-30!), Glade wisp refill for $1.47, and 2 bras for $3.24. They had plenty of the dartboards, tons of foosball & multi game tables for $29.99 (wish I had the room to get one!), baseball gloves, pop up tents, lotions, method air fresheners and candles. They seemed to be marking down like crazy in housewares and possibly furniture, but I had to run to pick up the kiddies. This is in South Florida.
  15. Went last night and ended up with the Rubbermaid fabric ornament box for $2.48, sally hansen nail polish for $1, propel large bottle 12 pack for $6.48 (from 9.99) - not that low, but my son's baseball season is starting and could always use plenty! Got Luvs diapers for $5 using the 2 $3 coupons (store and mfr) and will go back to get more of that deal during February. (YAY!) I saw lots of heaters, one train table (wasn't marked down that low), a nice all in one printer, but was still $70, some nintendo ds & gamecube games for $4-10. Have to go tonight to the other Target near me since I have an excuse - my father wants the fake crocs because he loved the ones DH has. Love those excuses to go back!!
  16. I bought cleats for my 6 year old at Sports Authority last week and the sign said they were on sale for $19.99. They were Easton "Wild Thing" and are really nice. They also had Nike's on sale for $19.99. But in last Sunday's ad, the Easton's were $14.99 - great deal. So I'm probably going to go back or order online and get a refund for the ones I bought at $19.99.
  17. I went yesterday after work to the Miramar, FL store and it was definitely picked through! The signs still said 30%, but most items were marked 75%. You guys have taught me this bday/easter gift stocking up theory. DH asked if Target was my "home" on the way home from work! Yep! I got Cranium Crazy Cap for $3.XX, National Geo T-Rex Battle for $4.XX & Dino Excavator for $3.XX (thank you to whoever said that was like the Operation game). Roll up Piano for $12.XX (originally 50!), Deluxe Power Rangers costume for $6.XX, Dinosaur Friends $1.XX, Kaleidoscopes $.99 that I will use for Easter baskets, Magnet Building Animals $1.XX. I did see one My first Leappad, but my youngest is too old for that. There were still a bunch of the My Little Pony Houses for $14.XX, Superman stuff, Bratz bride/groom. My big deal was the Thomas Holiday Trains. Thank you for teaching me how to deal with the cashiers.... They were still scanning regular price at $11.XX and I innocently asked "Aren't these on clearance since they are holiday?". Mind you, they were in the regular Thomas area. She called for price check, and they said it was regular price. I said that I had seen them on sale with the clearance sticker before and after 3 Target personnel conferenced among themselves, they told the cashier to give them to me at 90% off!!!! I then asked if I could get more and I got the last 3! Whoo-hoo!! I went back to candles and actually found one with a red cap and was so excited, but it scanned regular price. Drat! The cashier wouldn't budge with that one. No juices here - checked behind all the 15 packs.
  18. Hello! Have been lurking around for a few weeks, but new to posting. My friend at work got me hooked on you guys!! Tee-hee! Went by my Target today and all Xmas was gone except very few things in food area, Grinch toothbrush sets, etc. Many Hello Kitty items, even regular Mr. Coffee coffemakers for really cheap, but toys was still priced about 30%. Bummed that I can't find any of the juices and glade candles at the really cheap prices. The deal I found today is boys Hanes sweatpants & sweatshirts for $1.48 (75%) and some printed sweatshirts for 2.98 (50%). They had racks of them, many colors and sizes. Don't use them too much down here, but they never go out of style and don't like to spend a fortune on winter clothes for FL. Bought larger sizes for my 2 boys for the future and may even go back to get others at even bigger sizes. Can't beat the price! :)
  19. Wow - my first post! My friend at work got me hooked! Have been lurking for a couple of weeks now and ready to jump in! Heading to the Target forum to let you know what I found today......
