  1. Just bought some inexpensive ones at Big Lots for the kids. ($1.00 & $3.00)
  2. The last one we bought only lasted a year. Has anyone found a decent quality one at a good price. Thank you!!:)
  3. Lowes, our way, has been marking down appliances. Just got a nice deal on a refrigerator. Their prices seemed better than the others. So don't throw that coupon away just yet.
  4. Did you check Walmart? Found the cutest black ones there for my Daughter.
  5. Check ToysRus they are running bogo specials this week.
  6. FYI- Did some reading and talked with some serious gamers and both said there are upgrades in hardware and software in Rockband 2 for Wii that will make it worth it to wait until just after christmas for its release.
  7. If you plan on using it alot with tomato and acidic products go with stainless. I've seen aluminum pit.
  8. Try and find a good installer. I know it is hard. We went to a local independent dealer and the guys he contracted with were horrible. After coming back to fix the buckling, the carpet is doing it again. We thought it was the carpeting and had our Son's friends father look at it and he said the installers didn't use a power stretcher. You could call the local Union near you and see if anyone is available/on layoff.
  9. I had the same experience with them. I had bought a couple of shirts for my husband and of course, he didn't like them. (Late June) Shortly afterwards I had a miscarriage. Went to return them in early August with the receipt and they treated me like I had stolen them. They instisted that I specifically had to get men's shirts. I told them my husband had an issue with the quality of the shirts and was in the store for something else. Their answer was no........ So I left and so went my business and I don't hesitate to tell others.........
  10. Congrats on Preschool! I recommend doing some research before buying them. Not long ago, they found lead in the insulated portion of the bags. I have been putting paper bags and stainless steel thermoses (they come in all sizes) in back packs this year. I think I'll buy a few more stainless insulated drink containers since a lot of the plastic drink containers (sippy cups and sport bottles) have been found to leach chemicals. ( http://video.nbcsandiego.com/player/?id=238947). Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. If you don't mind talking to people. I'd suggest chatting with some well known pool installers in your area. Tell them you interested in having one installed and find out why they recommend going with certain filter systems, and the pro's and con's of vinyl liners vs other finishes. Some of your choices will depend on the shape you desire. Others based on where you live. Gunite may crack more in northern climates and can be rough on young feet. Good luck
  12. I bought mine at Sam's a couple of years ago. Good quality. If you are in a windy location, I encourage you to get one with a granite (or similar) bottom. I saw some that use water.
  13. Check out consumer reports. You may be able to get some free info off their website or you can get a copy from your local library. I've been happy with most of their recommendations.
  14. Check out Sam's Club. My local had one marked down to $99.00. Not sure if available on line. If they are and you are not a member I think they charge an extra 10%. Not bad considering a friend paid 249 during the Holidays.
  15. I researched mattresses and came to the conclusion that they are pretty much a blind item. Each store can have mattresses made to their specifications. Consumer reports suggests the old fashioned method of try it and see which one is the most comfortable for you. They recommend laying on a mattress for about 15 minutes. Good luck
  16. Check with the local library. People will donate. they may have extra copies too.
  17. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=361513 I bought this set and love it. The quality is good and I like being able to see my food cook thorugh the glass covers. The price is down to $100.00.
  18. I was my local Kmart and found summer clothes marked down to 1.99.
  19. I bought these when they first came out. I have been buying the rotary tooth brushes and find they work well for my little ones. These brushes are basically a manual toothbrush that plays a tune when the brush head is tilted backwards.
  20. Having as hard time finding jeans that fit for my neice. Any recommendations. Thanks..........:)
  21. I also buy my chemicals from Sam's. Your local pool store may have "classes" on how to take care of your pool. That is a big help. Not sure how big your pool is, but, depending on where you live, it might be ecomonical to use a pool service. My cousin lives in AZ and he paid 30-40 a month for someone to come in. In my area, they charge 75 per trip and the cost of chemicals. Buy the strips that measure your sanitizer etc..
  22. Love those ideas. Would wall paper adhear to fan blades. Not sure if you have wall paper stores with bargain bins in your area.
  23. I got a set from Sam's Club at Christmas. I love it. It has glass covers. Price was excellent compared to the other retailers. If you don't belong there try Costco and BJ's.
