  1. my aunt, who is a member here at gottadeal, but obviously hasn't seen this thread yet, has her birthday on black friday this year (linda81)

Thanks Christi, Yes my birthday is Nov 23 and falls on BF this year and my niece and I will be shopping all day. Hopefully she will buy my dinner. I was born in 62 and that also was on a Friday but I don;t believe they had big sales back then:g_hello:

  2.

Well, after a series of falling out's over the last 8 months-- looks like I will not be doing my BF w/ my partner in crime, my sister. We've gone every year for the last 14 yrs together- through snow storms, forecasted blizzards, subzero temps, her w/ severe morning sickness. All of it.

Unfortunately, my family is not speaking to me too much over a series of misunderstanding's. So, my husband said he'd go w/ me on BF this year (which also happens to be my birthday). So, wish me luck. He's driven us twice in the past and did Walmart in the past to help us carry heavy items-so he's alittle aware of what to expect. Plus w/ it being my birthday I know he'll be on his best behavior towards me (even w/ the crowds). So, here goes nothing- maybe it's a new tradition!!

1st of all Happy Birthday, you and I have something in common, (I was born in 62) Next I will hold out hope that you and your sister will patch things up. There is no way my husband would get up and go with me so you are lucky that way. I am going with my niece and I can't imagine going with no one else We prefer to stay out all day and sometimes won't even stop for lunch. It is tiring but Oh what fun it is!!!!!!!!!!:g_dance:

  3. When my son was 7 I got him a batman gun that shot little sponge darts out. The first time he tried it it shot me in the eye. It hurt like crazy but I refused to go to the ER. Needless to say my husband had to fix dinner that day. Later that night I went to the ER and found out I had a tear in my cornea. I hate nerf items and sponge guns to this day.
  4. We had an awesome White Christmas in 2004. 3 days before Christmas it started snowing and didn't let up until Dec 24th. We had 30 inches of snow. All traffic was stopped ( including air) and my son was on his way home from the Air Force in Texas. He got in at 10:30 Christmas Eve. and my husband took 3 hours to drive home from the airport (normally an hour drive) but Its a Christmas I'll never forget. :)
  5. Last year a friend gave me a terry cloth dish rag sewed together and filled with corn. You heat it up in the microwave to warm up and then put it wherever aches. Its very nice because it will fit any area. I love it :g_dance:
  6. You are not alone. I can't convince any of my friends to go. They just all think I'm insane. That's okay though, it's fun for me. My hubby is pretty good and will go with me if he HAS to. Last year I just hit a few places by myself because we didn't have a sitter and I didn't really want to brave it all alone. This year, my aunt may go with me. Either way, I'm going. All day.

You must have a pretty nice aunt to give up her entire day to go shopping with you. Either that or she is just as crazy about shopping as You

For the rest of you all, I am the Aunt!
