  1. I have a CHI. First one lasted about three years. Started having problems with the cord. Bought my daughter a Revlon one that was rated a "Best Buy" with Consumer Reports and it just didn't seem to heat up as much and the plates didn't feel as smooth on the hair either. Wound up buying her a CHI the following Christmas and I also replaced mine with a CHI. No experience with Paul Mitchell but my cousin bought one of the ION ones and she loves it.
  2. OK, so I went over to Target the other day to use some coupons. I tried to use the $1 off 2 Eggo waffle coupons from the target website. The lady gave me a real hard time and after leaving me there while she talked with 4 (yes 4) associates, finally told me she would take the coupon this time only. "They're no longer able to use the coupons that say Target Web Coupon". I told her I printed them off of the Target website and she just said "I know". Anyone have any ideas?

Did she even give you a logical explanation? Should have asked her exactly where you are supposed to be able to use them. It was once implied to me that these coupons were supposed to be used on the "web". Well I guess that would work if they actually sold groceries online! How can they refuse their own coupons? I can understand that they might limit the number you use, but to outright say they aren't taking them is crazy.

  3. I linked to the settlement website, because I had signed up on their site about a year ago and read the details of the settlement.

Don't mean to try to correct you or beat a dead horse, but I don't think you could have signed up for any emails last year. At that point the case had already been settled for almost three years. The only thing they were doing on that website last year might have been updating the status of that ruling. I worried that I wouldn't get a notice from them because my email address changed over three years ago. There had been a specific time frame before the settlement when they had originally been allowing you to sign up to get an emailed notice regarding the settlement.

My gripe is that I signed up thinking I was a member of this class action and still came out with nothing. It didn't do me any good to sign up years ago because the general public was made aware of the freebies being given away and who knows whether all of those that went and picked up the freebies actually made any purchases at those particular department stores during the time frame that the price fixing supposedly occured. Way to go:g_thumble, for those of you who were able to pick up some of those items. I just didn't feel like making a special trip just for a free item, so I'm not kicking myself for not getting one.

  4. good thinking! Those cashiers were D-U-M-B. I'm sure they bought it for themselves!

Now how DUMB do you really think they are if they managed to get the customer not to buy the product or speak to the lead about it, only to buy it for themselves?? If they were really dumb they would have been uneasy if someone mentioned fraud on the part of Target putting out product and then not honoring the scan price regardless of who's error it is.

  5. I'm so mad!!! I went to Target this afternoon and found 3 packs of MM, I was so excited! I haven't found any in a while. While ready to pay for them, the cashier just started laughing and said: these can't be 0.69 and called another cashier, who took me to another register so they could do a price check on the item. I told them they should sell them to me if that is the price that they were ringing for. They said that was the price for just one juice box, not the whole package. Of course, they couldn't find the price of the 10 pack, just the 15 pack, so they said they would sell it to me for 6.90!!!!! (because it was 0.69 x 10 juice boxes) :gdcensored: I told them that price was even higher than the 15 pack, so then they said I could take them for $5 each. At this point, my DD was tired and cranky (and so was I), so I didn't want to deal with it, so I just left and didn't buy anything else. I'm so mad, why do cashiers care so much about the prices on the items....

Most states have scan laws. If products ring up higher than the price tag (granted, there probably wasn't a tag for that item), they have to charge you what the tag says. If it rings up lower, it's to your favor. The store has to take the loss. They can't scan an item and then say they're going to charge you a different price. Regardless of whether it should be 0.69 each juice, they made the mistake of stocking the product in that package of ten on the shelves for the customer to buy. I'd complain.

  6. Only bought one item today. A Nintendo DS premium carry case with goodies for $12.49 50% off. I went in to buy the ds clear screen covers and they were $9.99 a package. What I bought comes with a black carry case, charger stand, retractable ear buds, car adapter, 2 screen covers, stylis pen and a cleaning cloth. It might have more that is just off the top of my head.

Do you have a DCPI for that?

  7. :sidesplit

Too funny! I'm so sick of everyone's crabby attitudes myself so I probably would have done the same thing. If she had been friendly from the start I probably would have offered her my cart when I saw her back there. What in the world was she thinking running back there with no cart? I bet she was PEEVED! I'm surprised she wasn't waiting for you in the parking lot!:gdparanoid:

Ditto. I wouldn't want to make you angy. She was there for a tree and didn't bother getting a cart-genious.

  8. I wanted one of the peacoats so badly, but didn't buy online because I hate to pay shipping. I had only seen the blue/navy one at one store and really no outerwear at another store. It might be worth it to look around. There are three other stores I can check. For $19.99, I wouldn't be picky about the color. Thanks for the info!
  9. Call Customer Service and let them know what happened. Target CS won't know there is a problem with those xkjlkd things unless the consumer calls them and tells them. Every time I get one of those I call and tell them how much I HATE them. They'll keep sending them unless people call and say how much they hate them.

I've had to do that before. It would be great it they worked, but they don't like they should. What's the point? I got one of those $3 coupons for my trouble.

  10. does target take expired coupons, and is there a limit to how many of the same coupons you can use in one transaction? I never used targedt coupons before and think I might start!

    :)

The cashier is the monitor of valid coupon dates. Target, man. and most other store coupons are not programmed to stop working after the expiration date. Technically, expired coupons are not valid, but if your cashier doesn't notice or simply just doesn't look at expiration dates, then you've basically lucked out. Most coupons say one per purchase which means you can use one per item. That again, can be up to the interpretation of the cashier. You might get one who will give you a hard time about using so many at once, but if the coupon doesn't specifically say one per customer, then all should be honored. They can always fall back on whatever a specific manager may choose to limit. Managers have the discretion to limit your purchases. Hope that helps.
