I was a director of a call center for several years. Each time a call comes in it costs them...the calls that go to the front line call center group usually run $3 - $4 but the calls that go to more advanced reps ie, tech supports and such can be upwards of $12 - $14 per call...just the basic call. The longer the call goes obviously the more it costs. The call itself (the 800 number) is a small part of it. Just some info that might help.

You're right but what I'm thinking is...if we see the ads in advance and MasterCard will reimburse...then go ahead and buy before BF and let MC just give me the difference. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Okay, We all know that the price matching on BF goes right out the window and doesn't apply. However, I just received a new MasterCard and it has Price Protection Coverage. States that if the identical item is advertised for less within 60 days of purchase they will reimburse. I have to send in a copy of the ad and the receipt and a claim form but does anyone know if this applies on BF? I have looked at the fine print and can not find anything that specifies that it wouldn't work. Any thoughts? Could there possibly be a loophole??

We are planning to be at BB no later than noon on Turkey Day. We'll probably get there sooner than that. But that's the latest.

It looked like both. There were 20 in bikes (I checked those) and they had some bigger ones...I think they were 24 or 26 (sorry I didn't look at them).

I was at Walmart yesterday and they had marked down some of the bikes 35%.

What did you do to pass the time last year while waiting in line? We got to BB at noon on Thursday and were numbers 3 & 4. The guy that showed up after us had a generator in his truck and a tv with him so he pulled the extension cord out and we watched the football game. Across the street was a Boston Market so we all took turns going over and getting our turkey dinner. As the night progressed people started pulling up to us and asking what we were waiting for...and I kid you not...one of asked what store we were waiting to open After the 20th time we started sorta messing with people telling them the store was giving away a Geek Squad car, free turkeys, stuff like that. The sad part is they believed us.

My BF has an area in his garage that is almost like a mini attic...you need a ladder to get to it and the ladder is out of reach of the kids so we put everything up there. But sometimes we have stashed stuff in the back part...over the summer I found things from 2 years ago. So they were too young for the kids now. They went to one of the charity organizations so at least someone got some use out of them

Don't know if anyone can help but I'm going to Italy next week and am trying to find any coupons for while I"m there. Honestly, I'm not picky....dining, shopping, attractions...anything. I have written to the tourism boards but have not received anything except maps. If anyone could help I would be very grateful!

On the fine print of the Black Friday ads, it says (at least it did last year) that the prices are not subject to the price match guarantee. However, if you do find it cheaper on BF, you could buy it at the cheaper price and just return the more expensive one later. Also keep in mind that often the doorbusters and/or specials are specific UPCs that are only for this sale. They may be limited editions or somewhat different. Walmart did this last year.

Did anyone else have this happen last year? We were in line all night...number 3 and 4 in line...and when they came out with the tickets, they started skipping people. The first guy with tickets, goes to numbers 1/2 in line asked them if they wanted *whatever it was* so 2nd guy with tickets skips them and comes to us 3/4 (so now number 1 & 2 have been passed over for item #2). Anyway...so this keeps happening where those of us in front were being skipped over and really ticking people off. This almost started a riot. It did get corrected and we received everything we were waiting for but just curious if this happened at any other BB.

Sooo many people were mad at me last year. HEHEHE:p I have my PS in my cell phone (use her all the time) and thanks to GD I had my full list of items emailed to her several days in advance. She pulled everything except the ticketed items. We were camped out so that was fine. Doors opened got in, got our ticket items she walked us to the register with all the stuff she pulled and were out of there in 30 minutes. Its the best, sanest way to go. I have had her first appointment since they started the program and as long as she's there I have that slot :)

Same here...ordered on 12/14 but still pending. I called to find out why it still said that and the lady on the line said that they are mailed directly from the manufacturer and the site is just not updating. We had that fun blizzard so its possible its just slow to get here...but as for the rest of you she made it sound as though you should have them so you may need to give them a call.

You're nicer than me I have had similar issues but am a firm believer that if you don't say anything they will continue to act that way.

I know alot of my fellow GDers haven't had stellar Customer Service with BB...but I have to say that I have the best! DH bought a digital camera a couple weeks ago for his mom, well of course it went on sale, you're only suppose to be able to price match dig. cameras for 14 days but we were just past that. The young man at the customer service counter couldn't do anything for us, but we are loyal BB shoppers (closing in on 2 million rewards points). We were frustrated but had other items to worry about so we went to see if our favorite personal shoppers were working...while there the new manager over the personal shoppers comes over and asks if everything is ok. We gave him a high level explanation and he says "I'll handle this", before we knew it he had the $50 refunded to us and we were done. Our personal shoppers have been a true God send for us. They have made our lives so much better during this season. I am sending a letter to the corporate office to commend them. We have also told the store manager. Without Mary and Dana...I wouldn't shop there! Just wanted everyone to know, Customer Service is alive in Colorado Best Buy's :)

Has anyone located any Christmas Panels where you're at? I'm looking for Fabric Christmas Panels to make into wall hangings for next year. I saw some at Walmart but they are sold out. If anyone can help I would truly appreciate it. TIA Melissa
