  1. If I had to guess, these would be 5 brands to consider: Sony (hands down the leader in rear projection TV's, and the Bravia is a top of the line LCD) Panasonic (their plasma's are probably the best value brand on the market) Sharp (Aquos LCD, Circuity City has a 46 inch 1080 for 1300 this year . . nice picture) Samsung (they make EVERYTHING, and really a solid value all around) LG (solid brand) IMO those probably are the top 5 brands to look for in TV's this holiday season. Some quality cheaper brands to consider would be Vizio, Olevia and Westinghouse.
  2. If you are in to football, get Madden 07 . . . it completely revolutionized how to play football games on a system. I have a blast with it.
  3. Just go on the tour as soon as you can, when the staff of these timeshares know they have guests on property who are enjoying the special rate, they can get a bit ansy, especially with the phone calling and they drive their sale on you.
  4. Actually the person who posted the 10 day pass I think has the better deal. There is "no" expiration on them. Meaning u could go 3 years down the line and still use them for disney. The annual pass is only good annually. i mean if the family of four plans on going every week . . . then sure, go with the annual pass. But if they are like me and go maybe twice a year, than the 10 day pass is suitable because it doesn't expire and it includes the hopper . . . . so while I would have bought 3 annual passes for over a grand in 3 years, I could still have some of the tickets left over from my 10 pack 3 years down the line that I only paid 400 bucks for (I believe waterparks can be added for about 30 bucks a 10 ticket admission). I think it really depends on the frequency of them going. I agree on the timeshare thing tho, but book it as a hotel so they don't tell u to go on the tour. I went to Westgate Towncenter 2 weeks ago for 4 days, it ran me about 300 bucks (was offered it for 120 bucks for 4 nights if I booked directly with them, but they would have been harrasing me the whole time about buying a timeshare), was well worth it . . . it offered a full kitchen, jacuzzi tub and great amenities like mini golf, bicycle riding, tennis, etc. When I first got there they asked me "one" time at checkin if I would be taking the tour, I told them no and I didn't hear from them again (Tho if u find yourself running short of cash they give you like a 100 bucks cash or 150 in disney dollars to take it their tour). Was great. Sleeps 4 people easily, they spoil you over there lol. Disney can have resort specials also and they are cool especially if going to a disney park because u wont pay for parking in the park and the metrorail swings by your resort and takes you to the park and they have the magic park hours thing where a resident of the resort stays there up to 3 hours after the park closes and can still go on all the attractions. Disney really has alot of good options, you will enjoy yourself.
  5. Sorry to hear that. On Black Friday they approved me for a 1000 dollar CC card, and they had a 0% for 18 months on any TV purchase, but the total purchase value of the TV had to be on the credit card to get the offer. So obviously 999 + tax, was more than a thousand . . so I searched everywhere for a coupon, and couldn't find it. Went to ebay, found one for $1.50, never bought a coupon from ebay, but it was a life saver. No interest on my tv until sometime in 2008. I searched ebay today, I saw some coupons on there for 10% off anything $199 and up (read fine print tho), if u didn't pick the tv up already, they will refund you money if you give it to them in store . . . hell they might refund you if you just show them a receipt and give them a coupon within the 30 day return period.
  6. On Black Friday, I ended up going to Ebay and I bought a coupon for like a $1.50 and it saved me $106 dollars so that may be your best bet, I know AAA has a coupon they give out. U just got to look around, they are out there. The coupon states: 10% off TV's priced $199 or more . . something like that. If I run into one I will definitely let you know.
  7. Yep, honestly the Samsung 1080p was my first choice back in November . . but it was 1500+ back then (600+ more). Just couldn't justify another rear projection TV, even w/ 1080p, giving up that much extra . . . LCD or plasma yea, not rear projection. Really, the steal is the Samsung HLS-5687W they have on Amazon. It is only 109.00 more than the HLS-5087W and gives you six more inches. If the budget is right, I would definitely lean towards that one.
  8. Have no clue, my guess is that it is close to even. The Samsung has 2 HDMI inputs while the Panasonic only has 1, but the Panny has 2 extra inches and costs 160 dollars less (plus if you search for a circuit city 10% off TV coupon, u can get it for $899). So your would be talking about 260+ dollars you would be saving going with the CC one. Put it like this. If they were both 900 bucks, I probably would leans towards the Samsung (DLP over LCD Rear Projection), but with the price difference I would have to go with the Panasonic. I actually own the Panasonic (Got the Tv for 899 on Black Friday) and the picture is great, I mean have I seen better . . . of course . . . but for the price it is a STEAL to say the least . . . excellent in high def and even regular tv is nice . . . no 1080p on either TV, so only 1 HDMI doesn't really bother me (Component can achieve 1080i or 720p) w/ the Panny. No Screen Door effect with this TV as of yet, so that definitely is a plus being LCD rear projection TV's can have a tendency to have that effect (DLP notorious for the rainbow effect). While everybody was going crazy over those Panasonic plasma's on Black Friday, I just snuck away with this baby and being only 900 bucks it really was one of the overlooked steals on that day and with the Super Bowl comming up I'm pretty sure people w/ a limited budget should really consider this baby if they are in need of a bigscreen (50"+) HDTV. Under a grand, for a quality bigscreen HDTV from a powerhouse in the HDTV game, you can't beat it.
  9. These phones are almost impossible to unlock. Well the original Nokia 6030's with the type RM-74 or RM-75 are a breeze, but if these are the new 6030's with the type being RM-225 . . . . then you won't be able to unlock these. The majority of the T-mobile 6030's were RM-225, so I don't think these will be unlocking, but the only way to find out the type is to buy the phone and check inside the battery compartment. However, if u keep these as a T-mobile prepaid cellular for 90 days and reup just one time . . . T-mobile will send u a unlock code. Other than that . . . these are Excellent phones if u are not into that fancy mp3 music player or digital camera mess w/ phone. Matter fact, this may be the best phone out there if u just need a phone with excellent battery life, Quality speakerphone and basic functions. The FM radio is an added bonus.
  10. Fantastic Deal!! I think its a price error tho, I'm trying to add and I'm having a hard time checking out. Plus I didn't see the free shipping icon next to the product.
  11. Here is the consensus. Royal Caribbean is known for having better food, better service and better entertainment. However Carnival tends to have more of a party atmosphere due to the fact that your are going to have more party type people on Carnival (just my opinion, don't know why this is). So it all depends on what u want. Carnival IMO is more suited for younger people (18-30), while Royal Caribbean is more for families and age 30+ couples. Either way cruises are alot of fun and either one should give you a good time.
