If you live in San Antonio, there's a Best Buy in 1604 and Alamo Ranch, they had it in stock when I last checked on Monday, and it IS on their flyer. Tell them it's on page 22 of their weekly ad. Kudos to you for driving around in this heat!

This is an excellent deal for this laptop. I purchased one a few months back and shelled out an extra 40 bucks from buy.com to expand the memory to 2 GB.

The posts so far have been both positive and negative, that I'm now unsure about getting it. Maybe I should just stick with the higher end brands that I know. Time to maybe look into getting a dell for DD.

Acer is a good brand. Mine runs on XP and I haven't had any problems with it. IMO, it's a good starter laptop for students and non-gamers.
