  1. nook color for $200 (save $50)! really? you can buy off B&Ns website right now for that price. lol although they have a $25 staples gift card with the purchase. not worth the hassle of dealing with crazies

and they call these best deals? you can probably can get those now for less money. the most decent deal is probably the blackberry tables for $200

  2. i do not see the advertisement yet, but it seems that lowes is already shipping stuff in for bf. was perusing today and saw a pallet of porter-cable cordless tool combo kit. they are doing a bunch of moving around, so it's getting close.
  3. Target had one on sale for $499 on clearance. Wouldn't hurt to go check and see. Also, as PP said, keep an eye on pre BF sales. We got a 46" Panasonic 1080 for $499. HHGregg had a deal with a blue ray player additiona for $99.

the target one dropped to $299 today. scored one in NE ohio brand new in box

  4. I understand. I worked the closing shift at Sears this year in appliances. This department is 100% commission. There was almost zero traffic in our dept and so I didn't make any money at all. :(

i knew they were on commission, but i did not know it was 100%. explains why every sales person i pass when i go to kill time at the store there asks if i need help. hehe

  5. they should all forget about these friends and family and black friday stuff. how about lower your prices all year round and be done with it. i think they are doing all this because they did not make much money if any at all on BF. i stopped by sears at like 7:30 and there was almost nobody in the store. doorbuster galore. i feel sorry for the people working there. i believe that is why they come up with all these F&F cuz they are not selling much any other times. they should lower the prices, sacrifice a little margin and make more money. i always go by the theory of sell more for cheaper than little and expensive. my 2 cents
  6. i am looking for a sony dsc-wx5. the cheapest i can find it right now is $269. some places had it for sale last week for $270, but the price has gone up since. should i bite on the 269? i was trying to pricematch it at newegg since i have a $10 bucks off coupon, but they said they do not pricematch. should i wait until balckfriday/cyber money to score a better deal on this? what do you guys think? anybody has seen anything else about this camera?
  7. i feel sorry for these people working at sears. i went to a sears hardware and a regular one last night for F&F and there were very very few customers. i think the hardware store had 3 customers including me at 6:30 last night and like 7 salespeople. the other regular sears showed the same picture: about 20 salespeople in the hardware/electronics departments and like 5 customers. did not go upstairs as there were 3 cars in the whole parking lot. maybe other stores did better, but i doubt it. not too good for sears.
  8. We have never owned a Samsung appliance until now, either...I had no idea they made appliances, and was skeptical myself, but the guy at Lowe's had nothing but good things to say about it, and there were several others that were more expensive than the one that we got that he could have easily sold us, because we HAD to have something ASAP...good luck!!

well, i got the samsung washer/dryer pair two years ago. they were the ones that sears had on sale for friends and family night, but i had lowes price match them about 3 weeks before they had the sale with a printout of the ad from gottadeal.com (hehe). that was one sweet year for black friday (circuit city was still around and best buy had some great deals on laptops and tvs and everything else not like now). anyway, those samsung appliances are great, work nice with no problems and no mold issues either (i leave the washed door open all the time). i also have a samsung dishwasher but it does not clean as good as the maytag i had before (about 300 dollars cheaper too for the maytag). i did buy the maytag but the bugger stank as hell after a few washes and have no idea why, but the samsung is the same. they all smell, so it might be the water i am using or something. but they seem great. if they are worries about stuff made in south korea then look at everything out there. i was just at sears and their kenmore stuff is made in korea probably by samsung or lg.
