  2. Great job this year, as i n the past Brad and others. Loved the added features of "BF deals available now" and links from the shopping list to the particular item on the sellers site. Twitter came in real handy as well. Agree with others that most of the big ticket items could be had prior to BF at same or better deal, thanks for letting us know about them when they were there to be had weeks ago. Missed the "online now" ticker that you had in the past, unless i just missed it. Lots more traffic slowed the site down this year, but you did a good job of getting it back up. Interested in knowing how many online users you had Thursday night compared to the previous years. One suggestion, we would love to purchase some gotta deal "got your door buster" tee shirts if you have any left over to sell.
  3. I purchased the insignia Sunday at BB. I love it. Took me less than five minutes to set it up and connect to my wireless router. I am not that good with tech stuff but had no problems. No additional equipment required to start watching nextflix, assuming you already have a membership. It has updated everyday, the latest update put tons of movies to select through right on the TV, no more putting them in a stream folder on the computer, they are right there on the TV.
  4. been researching these for a while and now I am headed to bestbuy to get the Insignia® - Insignia® - Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi and 1080p Output on sale for $129.99. Been waiting for a good deal on a wifi that streams netflix and this looks like my best bet at better than BF prices. The reviews look good for blue rays and netflix.

  9. Ultimate Pumpkin Pie Ingredients For the crust: 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting 5 teaspoons sugar Salt 12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces For the filling and topping: 1 15-ounce can pure pumpkin 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened Salt 3 large eggs, plus 1 egg white 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg 1/2 cup pecans 1 cup fresh cranberries, or frozen, thawed and drained 1 2.3-ounce package amaretti cookies (about 12) Directions Make the crust: Combine the flour, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Mix in the cold butter with a pastry blender or your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Work in 3 tablespoons ice water until the dough holds together without being too sticky. If it's still crumbly, add more ice water, 1 teaspoon at a time. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into an 11- to 12-inch circle with a floured rolling pin. Ease into a 9-inch pie pan; press firmly into the bottom and sides. Trim the excess dough, then pinch the edges. Refrigerate until ready to fill. Place a baking sheet on the bottom oven rack and preheat to 375. Make the filling: Whisk the pumpkin in a bowl with the butter and a pinch of salt. Whisk in 3 eggs and the sugar. Stir in the cream, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour the mixture into the pie shell. Lightly beat the egg white, then brush onto the pastry edges. Carefully place the pie on the preheated baking sheet, lower the oven temperature to 325 and bake until the pie is set but still jiggles slightly, about 50 minutes. Let cool completely. Meanwhile, make the topping: Toast the pecans on a baking sheet in the oven for about 10 minutes; cool. With a knife or food processor, coarsely chop the pecans, cranberries and cookies; sprinkle over the cooled pie.
  10. walmart awesome laptop and HDTV deals during these secret shopper sales last year. Got the TV and laptop cheaper then others had on BF. glad its back again this year. hope they give my local store manager a heads up this time. he had no clue last year when I showed up asking about it.

  12. Maybe you could link a couple of chat rooms/IM rooms for us to log on to by region so we can instantly update others in our areas rather quickly while out and about on BF. There's not many from NC registered, but I have met several over the years that monitor GD forums. I know last year several stores in our area opened their doors early and had secret doorbusters, only learned about them after my associate shoppers IM'd me as they were standing in line.
  13. All lines on BF should start behind those of us wearing a GottaDeal tee shirt. BTW, I don't have one yet Brad so........ They look really cool this year, great job.
  14. Line crashers and stores that don't have any plan in place to deal with the madness when the doors open up.
  15. The Mckenzie Docker set has been out of stock since November. They need to take it off the site. After you enter all codes and confirm purchase, its says no longer in stock. I;ve tried lots of times always says same thing. Good deal though if anybody can get it.
  16. Tons of stuff at my Walgreens in NC, but its going quick. 6.99 large christmas bags ringing up for .32, 5.99 boxes of chocolate covered almonds ringing up .42. The guy at register said WOW you saved $90 bucks. I paid 12.42. By the way, no more chocolate covered alomonds at my store hehehe.
  17. got the toaser ovens, awesome deal thanks for posting.
  18. Went to Walmart 30 minutes before the sales started and still got: $388 Dell notebooks X2 $50 portable DVD player X2 all the movies i wanted $68 8mp digital camera with case $64 8gb mp3 with video $11 2gb scandisk security card X6 then went to Radio Shack and price matched my Magellan 4040 at $299 then hit Wlagreens, Sears and CVS. Now gotta work overtime to pay this stuff off. The only problem at Walmart were the portable DVD's. That was scary, people were shacking after struggling to get one if they were lucky. Three big dudes had all but one corner blocked off and they were tossing them as fast as they could behind them to their friends.
  19. Sorry station, but where can we find the comparison charts? sorry found it. thats awesome, thanks. http://www.bfinside.com/StationChief/BFCC.php
  20. I went with the Magellan 4040 at Radio Shack. Bought it for $349.00 but they will price match the BF sales price Friday, which will be $299.00. I was disappointed that no Magellan's were on the recommended buys from GPS Lodge. I did a lot of research before making my choice. Newer maps, easier navigation, large screen, speech to text (will actually tell you the street name of your next turn or exit), blue tooth and price were my main reasons for making this choice. Not to mention the upgrade via Magellan's website which will allow my unit to hear my voice commands ("Magellan. Gas Station" isall I would have to say and the unit will map out directions to the nearest gas station from my current location. Just FYI. Happy shopping all.
  21. Sears managers told me if they run out of stock on BF items, they would give rain checks. They would also price match other stores early bird specials. He swore up and down several times and this was the store manager I spoke with, soooooo? Does anybody else know if Sears will in fact give rain checks or price match?
  22. Went to my local Radio Shacks today to ask about the Magellan 4040. BF ad says will have it for 299.99. It was on sale today for 350.00 but all stores told me they would price match. I asked managers at both Shacks again if I bought it today at 350.00 if they would price match on BF for 299.99 and they said absolutely. They only had one unit at one store and three at another so I got one. Both Shacks expected no more shipments of extra 4040's until after BF. Marcster, do you have reviews or info on the 3250 Magellan unit. They had it on sale today as well and I really liked it. Thanks and happy hunting all.
