  1. Daysgirl, I think you have to present a flyer or coupon to get the cards.
  2. My own personal experience with Virgin mobile was awful. I barely ever had a signal anywhere I went, however it probably depends on your area. The other thing that bothered me was that I rarely used all my minutes before they'd expire. Mine was for pretty much the same purpose. Emergencies and quick calls to dh to ask what he needed from the store. I would ask someone in your area with each service what their signals are like. It sure wouldn't be worth it at all if you break down on the side of the road and have to walk a mile for a signal!!
  3. Ours closed early this year, as did our Sam Goody....the deals get even better, but things get very picked over quickly!
  4. It doesn't have separate speakers, it has to be plugged into the TV. The box says it will work with Audio CDs, Video Karaoke CDs, and MP3 CDs, so I think he should be fine with the ones he has. However, they won't have the words on the screen. Side note....opened mine back up and made DH check it out tonight. It works fine and was worth the $17 just to watch my DH singing off-key to our 10 month old!!
  5. Mine were mostly compilations of music from a variety of genres...rock, R&B, country, oldies, a little bit of everything. There was an N'Sync cd and a Beatles one, though...not huge hits with preteen boys, but we'll have fun with them anyway!
  6. This is definately an awesome deal! I opened the one I ordered and it had not only 12 cd's instead of 4, but 3 microphones instead of 1!!!
  7. I had an ABC news poll number listed on my caller ID a couple days ago....wonder if that was it.
  8. This should be good!! However, there's gonna be major lag on that site TG day!!
  9. When I worked for the now-defunct Casual Corner, we did an early bird extra percent off on BF. I'm sure some, if not all, have similar deals.
  10. Awesome!!! My boys LOVE the karaoke feature on our digital cable, so this will be a sure hit!!
  11. I was told by a seller at a flea market type store that sells similar things that the Nintendo ones are black market. When you see one, get one if you want, but don't expect them to be there a week later. Still looking for one myself, but haven't seen one in months!
  12. Nope, Target doesn't do layway at all unfortunately
  13. Jumping on the Old Navy bandwagon!! GREAT deals on BF, not bad the rest of the year either!
  14. I agree, for items with extreme limited quantities, those should be reserved for customers waiting for hours. However, I think that the employees that work that early bird shift, where some of the best buys on toys, clothes, etc are in effect should be able to take advantage if its a case of a price change before their shift is over. Who has ever made it through a line anywhere on a 30 minute lunch break, even if they're lucky enough to get it before the sale is over.
  15. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=47261 There ya go!
  16. I have to agree with the last few posts. If you've never worked a BF in retail, you don't have a CLUE how much those employees deserve to get the same daels as the customers of the store they slave for all year round. Yes, there should be limitations, but for the abuse taken all day on BF, they should definately get SOME benefits!
  17. I'll have to second that!! I wish I was that confident as I sit here looking at the guitar and amp he got last year that got used for 3 weeks.......
  18. I'd not risk waiting for anything till the second day, knowing my local BB. You could always check the website on Thursday and see if they're offering it on there, that may be less hassle for you than camping out early.
  19. So far I've not seen anything. Looking for GH 2 for my ds and have a hard time paying $80 for something that's probably gonna be really fun for about a week and then become a dust collector!!
  20. I think with most of the Walmart items, it will tell you right in the ad whether or not the item is online. I did fairly well buying around 8 am EST last year on some of the toys. Can't remember though if what I bought was doorbuster or just sale though. But I was actually impressed with the speed of the site and got everything within a couple days of ordering, even with the .97 shipping.
  21. What we're being told at the moment is the last sales day will be 1/28 in most stores. We're getting no advance notice on price drops, they call us and say "change it now"
  22. I can't ever get them up either....I hate this no paper circular deal!!
  23. That's the first I've heard of the Charming Shoppes deal...I'll see if I can get a scoop on that. As far as actual closing dates, what I understand is that it'll be based on sell-through of product, with the last of the stores closing on Jan 31.
  24. There's still product coming in. Supposedly very heavy this week and beginning of next, so keep shopping! Even new merchandise comes in at liquidation price!!
  25. I work for CC. Some stores are already 40-60%, depending on the region and the website is at 50%. They're currently considering doing an Early Bird, but we haven't got word yet. If I hear anything, l'll keep you all posted. And as was said, be nice to your sales associates, we're getting it from all angles!!!!
