  1. Hmmm, still must be doing the math wrong, still able to find these for less elsewhere. I do have a knee jerk reaction to places that charge a "processing fee". But I just did a search and was able to beat each price they listed. The difference is only a couple of dollars, no biggy. L.
  2. what is with the processing fee... add that to the price and you can get these prices anywhere. L.
  3. Got one today at the Walmart in Hadley MA. Person working there said that they have been getting them in twice a week. I had called the store in Northampton MA and was told the same thing but they were out, said that he though more would be in tonight. So it looks like WalMart may have them in the distribution centers at least in the Northeast, but I don't know how accurate any of the information I was giving was as the first WalMart in the area that I called (Hinsdale, NH) said they did not have any, haven't received any yet this year and he didn't know if there were any on order. (warm body?) :-) The second WalMart I called (Orange, MA) did not know what I was asking for and told me to call back later. (partially warm body) ;-) Go luck to those that are looking, always one of these items every year, just glad this year's item isn't $499 :-) Suze
  4. New Egg just told me 1/1/2008. Not happy with them. Suze
  5. It wasn't too long ago that Circuit City wasn't all that bad a place to shop. Recently I have had numerous issues with them both on line and in the stores. A call to their corporate office was routed through a call center overseas. As polite as that person was they were just reading scripts that had little or nothing to do with the issue that I was trying to resolve. No amount of asking or pleading would get me transfered to a supervisor or manager. I had to dispute the charges through my credit card company who refused to pay CC. They have done some pretty odd things to eliminate staff or higher paid staff in their stores. Since the managers are rude and unprofessional it's not surprising that everyone else is as well. They may ride the bubble this year, but I would not be surprised if they are the next CompUSA and have another round of store closings. They may do a lot of sales on line but they are still a brick and mortar chain. People have certain expectations and when they are not met time and time again, they stop showing up. I wouldn't care if they had iMac's for $10, they will never get me into one of their stores again. Life is too short to play games with a chain store that clearly no longer understands how to service it's customers or resolve problems when they arise. Everyone has an opinion based upon their own personal experiences but I have a hunch that CC would land someplace near the very bottom of the heap with most people. Okay I'm done :-) L.
  6. If you do not have a Sam's nearby, we ordered one from newegg.com for $159.99, free shipping and no sales tax. It was a preorder and they will email us when stock arrives.... may work and may receive it late? Past experience with them has been very good. But for where we live... best way to get one short of an hour drive and a 3 plus hour wait in line :-) L.
