In that case the people who had pre orders for the ps3 and paid them in full should sue becuase they paid only to show up to the store and be notified that they weren't able to have their order fulfilled at launch. The only difference is that their orders will eventually be met. But like the guy said earlier 2nd in line at 4am should have been an indicator, and at that time your options were very slim you had the choice of being there or being 100+ in line somewhere else both have the same outcome no laptop. You win some you lose some, as long as I receive a refund I'd be content.

This happens more than you think, when I was working at BB we would always see the ads early and there were always things in there that we would jus happen to be sold out of. If it was a major item we would offer some type of replacement if it was something small ex(when 1gb usb drives go on sale) they are pretty much out of luck. I agree with you that they should have had atleast one, but if the store doesn't advertise a limited quantity, like bb says min # per store, I don't even make it a priority. The bad thing is that you were offered no alternate solution but then again they aren't required to do so.

At bby I kno in the comp department they allow u to come back purchase the service plan within 15 days. I think they may be telling you that because you didn't purchase the warranty so they are punishing u. Check all of the best buys in your area you can return it to any best buy and exchange

Most younger gamers won't be able to appreciate what the ps3 offers. As a gamer who's developing an addiction for home theater the ps3 is a great asset. But for a 15 yr old I'd say they are out of the wii stage. I'd go with the xbox because the 11 yr old will out grow the wii and its nintendos next gen so there won't be a new one for a while. The 360 is definately the better investment.

If they said for example, you can't line up until 12am..imagine the cars lining up to get into the parking lot and the accidents that would follow...or people parked in other areas ready to dash to the door that would be nasty if they did that.

HDMI is the "cable" I believe presley got.

if your not using HDMI it may not be at its best picture quality

lining for the ps3 was suppose to be limited to 24 hours but our local best buy let people camp out for 3 days in advance, at most BB's they dont own the parking lot so they cant tell people they cant wait there

I dont agree with lottery because then why call them early bird specials when all you have to rely on is the luck of having your name drawn, i think a lottery will result in a more chaotic situation.

i bought the protection plan because i always do on anything i cant fix myself, i also purchased that surgeprotector package jus because i thought $45 was a good value. they didnt force anything on me i told them exactly what i wanted and i guess from what i bought thats all they got all they wanted out of me. but the whole scare tactic is something we were taught to use in the computer department also. but thanks for the website ill check it out. Btw that package came with an hdmi do you think i should just used that one?

Its funny how people say they will never go to a store on BF again because they don't want you to anyway. These stores don't profit from the door buster items. They are losing money all day. If you want to punish them you would probably want to save up all year and spend every dime you have at their BF sale especially on cds and dvds that's where they lose the most money...believe it or not most cds and dvds are sold with no profit to the store (except for a few cents) yr round...and for them to be marked down to 2.99 on bf.....horrible for profit

They were also doing this when gas prices were sky high, companies will always outsource to save money

This is good news for me. I'm a college student so this will be my main tv in my apartment and I don't move in until 23rd of dec (yea I kno the timing of that move sucks) so I won't open it until then...I got the protection plan and everything for it and even if its bad out of the box I'm still within my thirty days. I bought the up conversion player because I figured if can support 1080i why not let it lol. But I am looking for a cheap Monster brand hdmi cable my friends at bb can only get em for 40-60 bucks anyone else kno of a better deal I'd be happy to kno

I also disagree with the idea to limit each person to one doorbuster, it does eliminate the incentive to camp out but then it also forces a person to choose, and a lot of people are there for xmas to buy presents. Not to offend anyone but I used to work at BB and the cheap cheap laptops of BF aren't really the greatest deals I mean their cheap but ur getting what u pay for. And as far as reselling, people will take part in anything that's lucrative, and economics states that goods go to those who value them the most, maybe u wanted that laptop for 199, but if u weren't willing to buy that ticket for another 20-however much it sold for u didn't value it as much as someone else did. I myself only took/used one doorbuster ticket because that's all I had use for, yea I could have takin everysingle ticket and basically had the other BF'rs pay for my item. What goes around comes around..that same person that sold u a ticket might be buying one from u or someone else next yr
