  1. Honestly, this is the first time in my 13 years of BF shopping that I have not had to worry about enough money to spend-and not because I just won the lottery!!

I have never been so disappointed in the quailty of BF ads in my life. Target ought to be ashamed of themselves-they are usually our first stop! Mistreatment of Brad and this site aside, there might be 2 things I want in their ad-last year and years prior there were tons!!

For all the sword waving, you'd think they would be trying to hide some killer deals...Every ad is lacking this year-even BB and CC haven't whet my appetite....

Nothing like big business trying to make life a little harder for us little folk in this less than stellar economy....I hope it's worth it....

  2. It is my understanding that you are threatening to take legal action against the entities of the website known as www dot gottadeal dot com. Please understand that the majority of individuals use the pre-published information acquired from this site to plan their "Black Friday" shopping strategy. It is VERY helpful to know in advance where certain “deals” are going to be within each individual retail outlet. I do not think that “Wal-Mart” should be concerned with their sales ads being leaked out prior to Black Friday. The Wal-Mart chain has been a cornerstone for retail business in many communities for years. I trust Wal-Mart and find it very disturbing that they would consider legal action against any individual that was attempting to make it easier for consumers to shop.

I respectfully request that you DO NOT take any sort of legal action against any entity that provides pre-published information concerning Black Friday sales advertisements.

    Respectfully,

    What do you guys think?

    Good work!! That's fantastic! :yay:

  3. I am going to keep the legal aspects of this private. But to clarify, yes, obviously there is a difference between a letter e-mailed from a lawyer and an official order from a court.

During the 4 years this site has been open similar things have happened with other retailers, so none of these tactics are "new".

The posts in this thread (and the replies to those posts) from one now-former member have been deleted. They were inflammatory and the member was basically trolling and trying to get everyone upset. This was the same member who was attacking other members in the Wal-Mart layaway thread. They have been banned from the site.

Once again everyone, keep e-mailing and calling. If you called today, call again tomorrow. Keep the pressure on them and don't let up. Thanks to everyone who has done something today :)

:yay: Very good, Brad. You have to wonder about people that have nothing better to do than be a jerk.........ONWARD OUR MISSION!!! :gdenough:

  4. I am just one person. And so is my mom. And my dad. And each of my two sisters. All avid WM shoppers who can't wait for the SuperTarget to open next spring just blocks way from us....WE CANNOT WAIT!!!

I am sorely disappointed in WM. I can't imagine their rationale (trade secrets on $3.44 DVDs? Please.), as you'd think someone would get that this early ad release is the one way to whet the appetite of their customers who, BTW, have scores of other stores to choose from that day (especially that morning). Whatever they are keeping secret this year and certainly next, as far as I'm concerned, they can keep it.

  5. I think this person is just trying to start some controversy where there really is none. All of us of us who have joined or lingered here over the last few years know that Brad and the crew don't post fake anything, especially in regards to Black Friday.

So this is, as always, a non-issue. Let's just let this go and get back to our REAL PLANNING!!:D

  6. It is still worth it, trust me. My mom and I are usually out until 8 or 9 pm shopping, and still grabbing great bargains. You should be fine. Like was said before, there are really great deals the entire weekend, so I know you'll find something that will make your trip worth it!!

Good luck on your first BF!!!:D

  7. I know Macy's will markdown older Coach merchandise all year, but it goes (understandably) very fast. I don't believe it does anything special for BF regarding Coach, but it's worth a look if you have a dept store in your area that carries the brand. It's true that regular Coach stores markdown NOTHING-nor have I ever noticed the website having discounted merchandise.
  8. My mom and I are DIE-HARD BF shoppers, so we start about 5am and finish about 6 or 7pm, but we have been out as late as 10:30 pm!! If my dad or my sisters go, they are usually done by noon, and my mom and I hit our favorite shop "Country Friends/Yield House" here in Indianapolis to pick up Xmas ornaments and such (anyone in Indianapolis area-THIS IS A GREAT STORE ALL YEAR ROUND!!) and then on to the mall for the rest of that day.....

We would feel cheated if we went in any earlier than 5pm for sure......
