If it's any consolation I bought a Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW LCD for $484 .. 6 weeks later it was on sale for $380 That was about a year ago and to this day I still get miffed reliving the experience.

Very good deal. The 80GB for $59.99 OTD that I mentioned is part of a sale 4/7 - 4/8 but it's a no name brand. The Seagate that Nate linked to is 160GB, 7200RPM, $39.99 AR and carries a 5 yr warranty. Agreed!

How about 80GB IDE for $59.99 with no rebate hassles and local pickup?

Are either of those USB powered only? I'd like to avoid an A/C adapter.

This is a great deal and I love that it's fairly loaded and not barebones like most under $800 laptops. I bought a Dell Inspiron 700m almost a year ago and use it at least once a day.
