    log

    3 eggs

    2/3 cup pumpkin

    2 tbs. margarine

    8 oz. cream cheese

    3/4 tsp vanilla

    1 cup powdered sugar

    preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix eggs, sugar and pumpkin together. Add baking soda, flour and cinnamon. add nuts if you would like. Grease a cookie sheet and line it with wax paper. Pour batter onto wax paper and bake for 15 min. at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and turn upside down onto a clean lint free dish towel that has powdered sugar spread over it. Roll up like a jelly roll, towel and all. Let cool. When cool unroll and remove wax paper. While roll is cooling mix filling. Mix all ingredients together for filling and stir until smooth. Spread filling onto cool unrolled log. Roll Back up without the towel and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar. Cover or wrap in freezer paper (to prevent sticking) and keep refrigerated.

this other recipe is not a desert but we always fix these on christmas eve as an appetizer:

    Grape Jelly Meatballs

    Small bag of meatballs

    1 bottle chili sauce

    10 oz. grape jelly

    1 Tbs. lemon juice

Bake meatballs in a shallow pan covered until done.

over low heat in medium sauce pan mix chili sauce, jelly and lemon juice. Simmer until blended smooth and sauce is hot. Pour over meatballs and bake covered for about 20 min.

Remove from oven and enjoy !!

  5. I use to spend around $20 - $25 for my two children and husband. now I have my 2 kids (20yrs old and 24yrs old) , my husband, 3 grandkids, a daughter - in - law and a friend of my daughters who practically lived with us so we do her a stocking also. last yr I spent a total of $o.oo yes zero dollars on all the adults stockings. how did I do this well I request alot of samples all yr and save them for stockings. I had razors for all 5 adults, lip balms, sample shampoos, deodorants, toothpaste, and a few other items I got for free. so I saved a bundle on the adult stockings last yr. this year I havent done as well so I will probably have to spend a little to make nice stockings. If you really watch the freebies you can get some really nice things.
  6. ok as I posted earlier tried to get task #2 done with kmart and walmart and failed soooo my husband was going to lowes this evening so I tagged along with my signs. Task #2 failed again they said they could not take pictures with their uniform on so I took my gottadeal logo printout and stuck it on one of their christmas trees and took a pic. hopefully this will count . when i put my paper on the tree a lady just stood there staring at me like I lost my mind I told her "Hey this is a great site you should check it out " my husband thought we were going to get kicked out! I cannot get my pic on this post for some reason so I will email it to you with my gottadeal user name.
  7. I tried to get in on this one but I went to our local Kmart and Walmart and both stores told me no no and no !!!:( Kmart said it was against their store policy for them to post anything with their store logo on the internet. I told them "but you are not posting it I am" and they said sorry we just can not do it. and walmart just said "NO" not very nice people at all. So good luck to all who get better results than I did!!
  8. the black friday experience that I remember with a smile happened about 5 yrs ago. I convinced my husband to go with me and my sister and her husband. We split up into two groups to hit different stores for bargains. My husband and I went to sears first and the first 100 shoppers in line was to get a 25.00 gift card. Well we were only about 25 people back and thought we have this one in the bag. When the doors opened people came rushing out of their cars in the parking lot and people from the back of the line rushed forward . they were pushing and shoving past us. by the time we got in the door of course we were not in the group to get gift cards. My husband was sooo mad he said "Next year I will pay you 25.00 not to even attempt this " As you can guess since then he will not go out that day and he always says "How much is it going to cost me this year to get to stay home". He just hands me money and says "have at it, you are as crazy as those other people for even going". I still go every yr and love every minute of it !!!!
