I agree. Take the giftcards and buy three presents. That way they will feel special getting something from their Grandfather. My mother was in a nursing home and unable to send gifts to my kids for a few years. My daughter remembered her but not my son, he only knew her from pictures. But every year I went out bought presents, wrapped them with from her on the tag, put them in a big box with a shipping label from her. Then I put the box on the side porch right before they came home from school. They always thought Mema sent them presents. They got so excited. I won't ever tell them the truth.

It would be funny to decorate one, have some friends over, have a few drinks and then do a "Presentation of the Christmas Tree" and see their reactions.:D:D:D

I put magazines in my kids stocking. It takes up alot of room if I've spent too much on the stuff under the tree. Husband is getting a GottaDeal stocking; craftsman sockets and razor both from coupons from the site.

So sorry to hear about your tree. Just remember it's not the tree, the presents or the food that make Christmas is you and what you do with the season. I have atree right by my computer that's my "Angel" tree, started it the year my mom went into a nursing home and every year I add another angel. No one else in the family cares about the tree but me. Anyway after I had gotten the house decorated, the family tree done, helped with the two kids trees and finally done my "Angel" tree and sat down to get on the computer I noticed the top part of the lights were out, just the top. Then they came back on, so I sit watching half the lights go on, then off, on, then off. At first I was pissed, then I just remember to "pick my battles" and made a mental note to throw out the lights and get new ones next year>!!!!!!:holiday16:holiday16

Great idea on the scrapbook page. I wish my family or my husband's would cooperate on something like that but they won't. We're trying to get family pix to make a calendar for her from an idea someone posted. Ya'll are so much more help than my husband. Remind me why I married him??:rolleyes:

Thanks for all the help. I am totally addicted to this site. It's great for a stay-at-home mom. I think I'm going to get her a sweatshirt with "Team Jones" and a list of all the kids and grandkids and great-grandkids names on it.

Thanks for the ideas. She already has about 4 birdhouses, even one we found inthe garage not put up. Has plenty of cooking things. Was thinking about the blanket/throw with all the kids and grandkids names on it, now looking for it in time.

Any ideas of what I can get my Mother-in-law. Yes, I like her. She have everything she needs. She doesn't go out to restaurants. And Yes, my husband has left it to the last minute.

We used the stroller for the first week or so. That way i just wheeled my son from room to room. I but a really soft and thick baby comforter down and then him. He was a terrible sleeper the first week and moving the stroller around help him nod off and us get peace and quiet. Then after I put him in his crib.

I just purchased a Sony DS7 from Ritz camera. Just do your research. I checked reviews and then after I talked to the girl at Ritz who first was selling me a DS3 for 299. I checked and Circuit City was selling a DS7 for 299 online, the store price was 349. (go figure) . Anyway I got the DC7 for 299 from Ritz with their freebies.

Please post your opinion of the stadium chair/cooler if you go to Staples and see it in person. I'm interested in one for myself. Baseball season is just right around the corner.

I can't believe it. Miracles DO happen at Christmas. My daughter took the wrong item to local VB store and they exchanged it for the right one no problem. I still can't believe it, since the VB customer service rep said "no way." Thank you, Santa.
