I bought a 50 inch TV a few years ago. I was by myself and am not very big. Walmart had big flat carts available by the TVs to use. Getting it into the car was another story, fortunately two men wanted my parking space so they helped me get the TV in the van.

We go the the evening service at church then we spend Christmas eve with my parents and sisters family. After eveyone leaves the kids put on their Christmas jammies and I read The Polar Express book. Even my 12 year old still enjoys listening!

My husband is impossible to buy for also. I just saw in the Brookstone magazine they have a cordless handheld air compressor that can inflate bike and car tires. With four boys and lots of bikes and sports balls I think he will get a lot of use out of it. Not very exiciting though!

Nope - Santa always gets a beer at our house too. Not sure how it started but it is now the tradition! Last year my 7 year was concerned that Santa was drinking and driving. We had to explain that he just rides in the sleigh, the reindeers do all the steering.

Ditto -- store staff just laughs at me everytime I ask if they have it in stock.

We started hanging the outside lights but won't turn them on yet. I say go for it whats 3 weeks? I might start this weekend too just so we can enjoy it longer!

Last year I was one of the fools that arrived at Walmart at 3am to get a 50 inch plasma TV. I was by myself and didn't really think about how I was going to get it into my car. As I stood out in the parking lot staring at the box a gentleman and his son stopped and asked if they could help! I promised them I would pay if forward!

I do the opposite. He buys gifts and I fill my stocking with the stuff I really want!

All of our Chirstmas decorations are in red totes. The kids help bring them up and empty them. Once they are empty, I fill them with the gifts. They have never thought to look in them since they are the ones who emptied them!

Me too!!! Also I vow not to drive to a sale when we have freezing rain. (Almost slid off the road last year!)

I stopped in my Target today and they are matching prices but only at the service counter since their systems cannot handle the matches at the register yet. I inquired about black friday and they kind of looked shocked that I was asking!
