  1. Good deal...Unfortunately I am an ATT customer and cannot get it at that price. Someday, someone will need to explain to me why an existing Cel Phone customer is not treated as well as NEW customers when new offers are available. Very strange customer service in the Cell phone industry.

Because the new customer is what they want. If the existing customer leaves they end up paying the termination fee(varies now depending how far you are into your contract) and the service provider still makes money, and usually you end up paying the extra fee's on there phones. If you bought that phone $50 when you signed up for a new service and then cancel, the leftover of what they say the price is(say $300 for the phone and you got it for $50) you would owe termination fee + the leftover phone cost($250)

I have a premier account through AT&T and up until about July i was getting 6-8 brand new phones from AT&T per year for the last 5yrs because i was a premier member. I would sell all these phones and make 5x more than what i paid for it usually. They cracked down on it recently and its looking like i may be only getting 2 a year or so. Premier is done through website only though. It just shows you how much there phones actually mean to them. Its the service they want and make there money off of.

If your really interested in this stuff go to http://www.howardforums.com/ There is about 950,000 members there and all they do is talk about phones and phone service. If you want to find out any tricks to get your price lowered or anything regarding phones thats the place to go.

  2. ebay is the way to go, i get mine for around $20-$25 and thats usually 13 months of membership, its true you have to create a new profile everytime you use a new card but its better than paying $40+ , if you want to keep your profile and use x-box live after your year is up you have to update via the console itself or online with your created profiles account.
  3. I have dish network and even though i love the service i will never give them my info for autopay, there customer service is the worst i have ever seen. It took me 6 months to get my $45 off my service that i signed up for, i sent out the rebate forms 4 times and each time they never received them, one of them i even had delivery confirmation for and they still said they didnt get it. Finally after 6 months or so they said it was processed, well im out that $45 a month extra i paid for 6 months that i was not supposed to be paying.

Either way i think im done with them after my 18 month commitment is up even though i like there service.

  4. I bought the Navigon 2100 with lifetime traffic online at BB for $149(only last a couple hours at this price) I have not received it yet but im debating whether or not to get another one now. Ive read that its not updatable via the PC, so your pretty much stuck with what you get. I think i would rather have something where there are more POI rather than text to speech and traffic updates.

Are there any other deals right now for under $200?

  5. I have copied the webpage with all the online offers and it clearly says "Hot Online Offers" and at the bottom of the page it says "**Instant Savings Reflected in "Our Price". I proceeded thru checkout and saw the Instant Savings did not get subtracted.

I am waiting for a customer service rep and expect to complain bitterly if they don't honor their online banner ad. It's there in living color and makes no reference to in-store pricing.

I'll let you know how I make out with the Cust Svc.:confused:

best buys site was getting hammered last night and the same thing happened, slowly the correct prices started to show, it was still going on when i went to bed and prices where still being updated 2hrs into the initial sale...

  6. newegg definitely for anything computer related. You'll have no problem finding a drive for him. Stick with Western Digital drives though and get a 7200rpm 16mb cache version, or go all out and make him really happy and get him a western digital raptor(10,000 rpm) if he games on the pc or you guys do alot of HD intensive stuff then its a must.

Plus your pc will be up in half the time usually :)

  7. Amazon now has it for $129 with free shipping!

Also, even if he Dell unit has "Bluetooth", it doesn't mean that it supports the "handsfree" profile. If you look at the description for the Tom Tom XL-S, it has bluetooth, but it looks like it's only used as an alternative to the usb cable (i.e. you can use it to sync/update, but not as a handsfree since the unit does not have a microphone).

Only price i see on amazon is $149 and thats from target
