  1. When I put the signing up in my store, it was all of the PS4 and Xbox One titles, not just the ones pictured in the ad.
  2. If you look at the pre-Black Friday ad on Walmart.com, it shows the PS4 games are on sale for $49. But just doing a regular search for the PS4 games, they still show $59.96. Maybe the prices are only good in-store?
  3. The sale is live now! We were notified this morning that the sale would start at 2:30 today instead of 8am tomorrow. It looks like there is a lot more in the online sale than the in-store sale. The in-store sale is PS4 and XBOX One video games and Skylanders and Infinity sets in electronics and one tv. I'm not sure about toys though since I don't work in that department.
  4. I work at Walmart in the Electronics Department and today we were notified that the pre-Black Friday sale that was supposed to start tomorrow at 8am would be activated today at 2:30pm. I had to make sure all of the signing was up before I left work. The sale prices are active now in the stores!
  5. A friend of mine texted me tonight and told me the Walmart 2013 Black Friday ad was out. She posted a link to it on Facebook too. I had a look at it and it does say 2013, but the dates are wrong. The ad says Thursday, November 22. Thanksgiving is on the 28th this year. I pointed this out to her but she still insists it's this year's ad. So I zoomed in on the fine print and sure enough...it's last year's ad. I searched around on the internet and as far as I can tell, the ad hasn't been released yet. I'm sure it's coming very soon though. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads-up and not to get too excited if they see it on Facebook!
  6. I work for Walmart too, and it is true. Our manager told us at the morning meeting that it came down in an email yesterday. So the schedule has to be updated, for about the 3rd time, to now have coverage in layaway. The assistant manager who is in charge of making the schedule for that day is about to pull her hair out from all the changes coming down.
  7. Hi all, this is my first post here...and seeing how wldtx was inundated with questions about BF at Walmart, I will tell you that I am the department manager for the Walmart in my town! I can't answer many questions about layaway but my store always uses a ticket system for the tv's and computers. We have a certain number of those items already in the layaway bins and have an associate handing out tickets for them. So the customer gets in the layaway line with just the ticket in hand and when the transaction is done the layaway label is put on the item. As for the laptops...as of today (Thursday) I have not found out how many my store is getting but I am going to insist with my management that I have them in my department so we can have better control over them. It will be so crazy that morning that certainly someone will try to steal one. Don't know how many other stores will feel that way, but if I was a customer that morning I would check the electronics department first for those. The prices on the Blitz items usually stay the same even after 11:00. At least with electronics. Maybe a week or two later they might change, but even that is rare. Just thought I'd add a little of what I knew. Be gentle with me! Kristie
