Oh I hope she does it again this year. I have a blast with it!!

I got my angel from our local VFW post. They are collecting for the local schools. My daughters picked out a 16month old girl.

I got one..ours were on an endcap in housewares nowhere near the toy department. Our walmart didn't have girls tracksuits except what has been there for sale for a few months so there were maybe 10 of them. We could grab everything except the big ticket items before 5 also just couldn't check out. We stood in line with everything we needed at 4am and were out of Walmart by 5:05am..lol

my Walmart gave you a map last year when you walked in the store that told you where everything was. That might be what they are talking about. Hope that helps.:)

I am officially done shopping!!! I finished yesterday.

I also heard somewhere that Kmart isn't doing a Turkey Day ad. If they were we would have had it by now I think.

I LOVE the original Miracle on 34th St. but I also love The Brady Bunch Christmas and Christmas Shoes. I will try to watch as many Christmas shows as I can that will be on tv like Hallmark channel and Lifetime movies.

My DH hung the outside lights today because it was in the 70's. We won't turn them on until Thanksgiving night but he said it was easier than hanging them with snow or ice on the ground.

100.3 in St. Louis went from Halloween music straight to Christmas Music. I am loving it!!

My DD10 wants anything American Girl or Tinkerbell and my DD almost 7 doesn't care as long as it has monkeys on it.

This only made at Christmas time in my house. It is very sweet but oh so yummy. PEANUT BUTTER - IRISH POTATO CANDY 2 (1 lb.) boxes powdered sugar 1/2 c. hot mashed potatoes, drained 1 sm. jar crunchy peanut butter Mix sifted sugar into potatoes a little at a time by hand. (Don't panic when potatoes liquify as the first sugar is added. This is what it's supposed to do. Just keep adding sugar until it is pastry consistency.) Sprinkle wax paper with additional powdered sugar. Take baseball-sized ball of mixture and roll out like pastry. Spread with peanut butter and roll like a jelly roll. Wrap rolls in plastic wrap; chill and slice. Makes 2 rolls.

Okay I done task 1 and 4. I took a sign to Walmart to have an employee hold but the first 1 yelled at me and my kids and the second went and got the manager. She told us that it is illegal to take a picture in her store and told us to leave..lol. I stuck the ornament on their tree..lol.

I will be shopping in Granite City, IL or Alton, IL area.

1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? Target but I pricematched everything at WalMart at Midnight. 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? Get a newspaper with all the ads and take them with you incase you can pricematch!! 3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? Get your ad out early, offer doughnuts or coffee to people in line, or freebies (life gift card to first 25 people or goodie bags)
