  1. I hit 3 Dillards today for some good deals. Guess brand $40 tees for $10 that I wanted a few months ago but wasn't about to pay 40 bucks for a tee. 3 pair of Jeans for $25-$30. Sunglasses for $10; a Fossil wallet for $7.50; the best deal was in the Home section where I paid $8.01 total including tax for 2 big glass accent dishes that were Orig $30 and $50 each. It's as if the cashier made up the prices because the receipt did not have orig and discounted prices on it. Thanks! I was astounded that no matter how deeply discounted Christmas items were, people in line tried haggling to get them even cheaper, annoying the very busy cashier dealing with long lines of waiting customers. They were practically giving some Christmas stuff away. My condolences go out to the sales people.
  2. Oops, I meant a few weeks before BF (in November) when I purchased my laptop, not a few weeks before Christmas. A few years ago OD "lost" or never received my $200 rebate on a desktop, so I was nervous about another rebate deal, but this time no problem.
  3. I had 2 rebates on a laptop I purchased from OD a few weeks before Christmas. Received the first one $150 about one month later (fastest rebate I ever rec'd) Received the second rebate $50, about 6 weeks after mailing it in. And I opened an OD account which gave me 6 months no int/payments, so I am $200 ahead right now. Just gotta pay it off by that 6th month...
  4. Thank you so much for posting that one day sale extra 50% off this past Sunday. I Purchased almost $1000 worth of clothes for $250. My arms were killing me from holding so much, and one person laughingly commented they need shopping carts for sales like that.
  5. Pretty much picked up all the boxed glass ornaments left at my Target tonight - about 100, in boxes of 4, and one box of 15. I Left a few Gold boxes behind. My cart was so ridiculously piled up, a woman started picking through it thinking it was just stuff for sale. They had a giant storage bin I also bought for 9.95 (reg 14.95), a tree skirt, 6 packs of gift boxes (.50 - 1.50 each pack), the boxes and boxes of ornaments (reg 5.99 - 9.99), and a $170 tree, - all for $107 bucks. I'm looking forward to Christmas next year.
  6. I found one set of stocking holders left that I had wanted; marked down 50%, but didn't think they'd be left if I waited for 75%. $10 was worth it to me.
  7. I like Amazon a lot and have never had any problems with their service or prices. This year I had a strange situation after plaing an order for an out of stock electric guitar at a great price (79.99 including free shipping). As it was a Christmas gift ordered in mid-November to insure Christmas delivery, the estimated delivery date changed to JANUARY 12th! I was like but figured it was still a great deal. The strange part was when I checked a week later to see if the estimated date had changed - it had not - but the item had not only been shipped, but delivered to the recipient already! Great work, Amazon. Must've been a glitch in the sytem? I was once again happy with their service and great pricing. I also take advantage of their amazon credit card rewards, so with my 3 AMZ gift checks totalling $75.00, the guitar cost me $10.98, and that included 5.99 gift wrapping.
