Target's Glowing Doodle Bear might be a good gift to bridge the kid/tween gap. I have a friend who's daughter (that just went to college) bought a Doodle Bear to have all of her high school friends sign.

That's what I saw too - only saw one out at the time though. I bet they have more for the big sales (of the giggle wiggle that is).
