Flipvideo camcorder half off at CVS Drugs!
Marcster replied to mcmorris55's topic in Offline Hot Deals
It connects to your computer via USB. Or, you can connect the camera to your TV and watch what you've taped... Here is the Web site: http://www.theflip.com/products_try.shtml -- a little video clip explains all about the camcorder. Apparently, you can also take the camcorder to a drug store and they can make a DVD for you: http://www.theflip.com/support_dvd.shtml -

That's hilarious... And for my story, I got a call from my wife from a jewelry store, "Honey, I know what you can get me for Christmas..."

Welcome to married life, where it's often "do as I say not as I do".

I don't have anything to add, but I've always wondered why women's pants don't come with inseam lengths like men's do.
-
Don't you wonder why they don't just write those type of things off and simply throw the item away? I know I do... But in the case of jewelry boxes, maybe they could Frankenstein a good box or two out of the damaged ones. That's what CompUSA's liquidator is doing too (apparently).

Pink football for a 14 year old girl
Marcster replied to tjredsox4's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
This is as close as I could come up with... It's only 8" though. And you need to have a pump because it ships deflated. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51uQ41XXvvL._AA280_.jpg http://www.amazon.com/Spalding-Micro-Arena-Football-Stripe/dp/B000QH7KOG/ -

The first generation Apple Shuffle MP3 player plugs right in. http://www.savesome.net/images/shuffle.JPG You can still find some new on ebay (http://electronics.search.ebay.com/shuffle-1st-gen_Apple-iPod-MP3-Players_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfrppZ50QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQmaxrecordsreturnedZ300QQsacatZ15057) but there are certainly more advanced MP3 players out there these days...

Free Shipping from Oneshare.com (stock certificates)
Marcster replied to Marcster's topic in Online Hot Deals
The share you buy is worth whatever the share is currently being traded for. So, if you buy someone a share of Disney, and Disney stock goes from it's current $34 to $75 and your recipient decides to sell it to a broker, they would make $41 (not including the broker's fees). But, honestly, these are meant as keepsakes or gifts, not as a way to make "real" money. Some of the companies do pay dividends and/or send out newsletters. From their FAQ page: "Are these real shares of stock? Do fish love water? Yes! These are live, official stocks from publicly traded companies that have been purchased on the stock exchange. Likewise, when you give someone the gift of stock, they become real shareholders! They're automatically entitled to all shareholder privileges and benefits, including dividends (if declared), annual reports, the right to attend shareholder meetings, and company voting rights! What is a stock certificate? A stock certificate is the official piece of paper that is evidence of ownership in one or more shares of a company. These days, the stock certificates of publicly traded companies are tough to obtain (not to mention highly collectible), but we do all the work for you. And we make it easy and fun! " More answers to questions here: http://www.oneshare.com/Help.aspx -

Yes, they sell stock certificates. The actual paper stock, suitable for framing. It's a very expensive way to buy a large quantity of stock, they're really meant as gifts. It's reliable, I've purchased two stocks from them about two years ago (as noted in my first post). -
The code is FREESHIP07. Complete details are here: http://www.oneshare.com/email_notify/newsletter/newsletter_dec07b.html You can order here: http://www.oneshare.com. I've ordered stocks for both my parents and my in-laws in the past through OneShare and I recommend them.

Printing the game titles are a good idea. How about getting a game for the Wii that he would choose and make sure your daughter understands that she needs to give him some "screen time" till his Xbox arrives.

Oh, sorry... I missed that. I searched online and couldn't find anything from my usual sources. I did come across this though: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Wink/hubbahubba.gif
