I am SO excited about the deals this morning! I got in on the 5th gen (newest model) 8 GB Nano iPods. I just happened to check at the right time! I have been debating between models for DD(almost 9 with special needs), and this just popped up. They are list price of $145. Lightning deal was $95! I tried to post on the main page, but by the time I wrote it out, they were already all claimed. There were green, blue, orange, silver, and black. Add to that the $20 gift card I got from walmart for not having my site to store delivery coming in in time for Christmas as promised (boo!!!...was a gift for DD11) and using it on today's Walmart deal of the day of an iPod speaker that was $18 (iConcepts AM/FM Boom Box for iPod) , it's been a good day already. I had it shipped to my house. It says it will arrive on the 24th (if not, DD's birthday is the 30th, so I'll save it for that). I paid 11 cents out of pocket including tax and delivery. I got my three yesterday. They were all different and very cute. I'm giving two of them to the two boys who ride the bus van with DD and one to DS. I have little High School Musical purses that I picked up at Walmart on clearance for $1 each recently for the two little girls who ride the school van with DD. Then I'm going to add goody bags with them. It is so hard to find inexpensive but cute little boy toys. I am thrilled with these!

I have to say it's pretty clever marketing on their part though. First, they open at midnight, far before many other stores, so they get the most eager crowd. Second, they get you to line up at their store TWICE for two rounds of doorbusters (midnight and then again from 5AM). Personally, I was hoping for something awesome on the newer versions of XBox 360 (not the arcade) and was disappointed not to find that, and I do notice many older versions of toys. (I recently bought three Leapster 2's and was disappointed that that one is not on sale). Even so, doing something different is what will set a store apart from the others. I did see many things I wouldn't buy otherwise that I can use as "fillers." I admire them for trying to be different. Having said all of that, am I the only one who longs for the days of 6AM openings for all of the stores?? At least I got some sleep after that L-trytophan. LOL!

I got these last year on the day they were $1 (normally I think they are $5). They are very basic scarves but were nice added to teacher gifts.
