I have in the past, with my mother. The earliest was early afternoon on Thanksgiving Day for 5 am opening. And that was my last camp out. Now, I'm older and value my time more and though still very frugal, willing to spend a little more to avoid Black Friday shopping in stores. Plus the deals just aren't what they used to be now that BF has gotten so popular.

How old is she and does it need to be a 10" tablet?
She's in her 60's but her eyesight isn't the greatest.

I'm looking for a tablet for my mother. I've never had one so don't know much about them, but I don't want to spend a ton. After looking at reviews on Amazon, the Lenovo Yoga 10 HD looks good. It's $249.99. Should I go ahead and buy it now? Anyone think it will go down in price? Or do you recommend I get something else?

So our family is really trying to move away from all the materialism that has become the holidays. We are doing 1 gift per person this year and going on a cruise for Christmas. I am looking for ideas for fun family activities throughout the month of December. Any suggestions?

Merry Christmas everyone! And a special Merry Christmas and thank you to my OE and SS who both went above and beyond and gave me the best Christmas packages ever! Totally made my day! Everything was absolutely perfect for me! Will post pictures.

Love this idea! I'm stealing it for some time in the future. :-)

Been sick and running behind schedule this year. Will ship by end of the week. Sorry!

Black Friday is dead for me. I will not be going on out Thursday. If I feel like it, I'll go peruse the leftovers Friday morning.

Almost done with gifts. I still need to pick up a few things for neighbors. 1 more gift to wrap. And grocery shopping. It will come down to the wire, I'm afraid. lol

Thanks! Purchased 1.

I've had this free since they did this last year around this time or a little earlier. I've bought 1 thing using it. I think it'd be a lot better if it were like amazon prime, where you can find a bunch of things that you can use it for, not just selected few items. I mainly looked at using it while using toy's r us website and just about everything that I would have ordered using this, it wasn't offered. There may be other sites that you can use this more that I haven't looked at, but it's not worth it for me.
Same here.

Same here. I was curious too!
Someone said earlier that the site is only up during scheduled sales. So, yes.

I have 10 teachers each year to buy for so I try to get a great deal on nice gifts. Many years it is BBW products that are on sale like that I will use to make nice gift bags with multiple items. This year it is going to be small coach items (key rings, purses, wallets). I limit myself to $20-25 per teacher. But with a good sale, they usually get gifts worth around $50 each.

those are lucky teachers
Nothing terribly expensive. Their gift items were on sale, so I picked up enough of them, averaging around $20 each. :-)
I did get a nice purse for my mom.

Thanks! Going to pick up a few teachers gifts.

Just worked for me

Already spent mine.

Ah, these sales! I thought I was done shopping for DD. Got 19 items for $140 (really good deal, DD doesn't like the cheaper t-shirts as she's anti-logo).
Thank you!!!

Taxed in Texas. I thought it would bother me, but I still buy as much as I used to before the tax because they still offer better prices, I have prime shipping, and customer service is great.

Shipped both ornament and SS parcels. Will send DC# later. Cards will go out this weekend, I hope.
Have you ever or Would you ever Camp Out for Black Friday Deals?

I don't think its perception at all. The quality laptops that are now on sale as doorbusters aren't nearly as good as the prior doorbuster laptops in terms of specs (put into the proper perspective). Also, when you factor in how long you now have to camp to score the better doorbusters, it just isn't worth it to me anymore from an opportunity cost perspective.
Anyway, no tent needed. Just chairs and blankets. Never had to be out there longer than 12 hours. Now though, if I were camping out, I'd definitely bring a tent. It's also colder than it was back in the day.
