  1. There is no way I could wrap them yet! I would totally forgot what they were before Christmas morning and then I would have to unwrap them! lol

But I hide the majority of my toys at my parents house. When she runs out of room, I have to hide them in boxes in my closet. The two or three weeks before Christmas, I hate going in my closet for fear everything will fall out!

  2. well first I scan the ads and see who has what I want most.

However, for the past few years I have hit Circuit City first, while I send my husband to Best Buy. From there it is on to Target, then maybe to Kohl's, Macy's, etc.

I stay away from Walmart & Kmart. :(

  3. Gees, I have never thought about bringing that kind of stuff. So far, I have never needed it. My approach is to bring the smallest purse I can, I have even been know to carry the dreaded fanny pack! :yuck: The less I have to carry and keep up with, the better!
  4. If you didn't get the book, you can still get the coupons on Target's website. When you are browsing the book, just look at the bottom right corner and it says "Season's Sayings." Click there and you can print out all the coupons! Hope that helps :D
  5. We put our tree and decorations up either the weekend before or the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have a fake tree, and I love it because I can leave it up as long as I like.

According to my grandmother, everything has to be down by Jan. 1st. It is an old superstition, and it is the way we have done it for as long as I can remember.

  6. So I got creative and invented the parent payment that parents have to pay Santa to help defray costs of technology things. I also explained my going out on BF as helping Santa's elves to get the best deals on things...

I use the same thing with my DD9. I told them that Santa brings the toys, but mommy and daddy have to help him pay for them. As for my BF shopping, DD has never gone with me and never knows what I get on BF.... so thankfully, I have never had to explain that. But if I do, I am borrowing your idea! :D

  7. My DD9 still believes. However, I too think this may be our last year believing. :( It will crush me when she stops believing because she is my only child.

For the past two years she has been asking questions, and thankfully I have been able to avoid telling her. She asks me if Santa is real, and I ask her what she thinks. She still believes, but she has some friends who do not.

One thing that has been a big help is the Santa tracking they do every year. It is called NORAD http://www.noradsanta.org/en/tracking.php. She loves to watch the videos and listen to where all Santa has been.

  8. I love to wrap presents! I don't buy the "high-priced" paper, but instead I hit up the dollar stores and after Christmas sales. Sometimes for the adults, depending on the present, it may get put into a gift bag.

My DD gets presents from my husband and I, as well as "Santa." I usually wrap hers in character or bright colored paper.

Santa presents do not get wraped. Instead, "Santa" puts them together and leaves them out around the tree. I've heard "Santa" likes playing with the toys! :D

  9. The DS Lite is also lighter and smaller than the reg. DS. Plus the screens are brighter. Also like already mentioned the controls are better placed. However, if you need two, I would go ahead and get the reg. DS because they are on sale for BF for $99 each. Esp. considering it is for a young child. Hope that helps.
  10. For that age I would suggest the DS because of the games available: I think they are better suited for an 8 year old. My daughter has a GBA and I am getting a DS for her. I like that she can use the games she already has. I also have a DS and I have let her play it... just making sure she can work the stylus and all. She loves it! HTH
  11. Just came back from a late night run to Wal-mart and was looking around the toy section. They already have the Fashion Fever Barbie Dolls priced at $5!

Yay! Black Friday prices before black friday! :eyepoppin

Just thought I would let everyone know so that you can save time of BF morning!

  12. From the ad:

"Over 30 DVDs to choose from in store

Regular price applies when only buying one. In Store Only."

    Ad pictures eight DVDs:

Life-Size (starring Lindsay Lohan & Tyra Banks)

    Miracle

    The Country Bears

    Inspector Gadget 2

The Parent Trap (Lindsay Lohan version)

    Raising Helen

Classic Cartoon Favorites- Extreme Music Fun

Classic Cartoon Favorites - Extreme Adventure Fun

    Thanks so much! :)

  13. Also on Fri & Sat are all day deals including:

    2 Disney DVDs for $12

Thanks for the info cardsfan. I have a question about the DVDs. Is it all Disney ones, certain reg. priced ones, or is there a list in the ad? Thanks :)

  14. Will the 5 pc. Cheer Sleeping Bag be long enough for a 7-8 year old? It looks kinda short on the ad-scan.

Yes it should be just fine. If you are worried about it, drop into your local Target and check it out before BF. I saw it at my Target this past Thursday!
