Kohl's Black Friday Early Access Sale (11/8 to 11/10)
Brad replied to Brad's topic in Completed Sales
It seems like if you have generic codes they work for a bit after the new sale starts, but if you have unique codes (like the 30/40% codes they send out) those are usually coded to expire right at midnight. -

It's back.... 7 years ago we started a club for those who are able to post in a thread once per month all year long. The 2018 club winners received t-shirts. The 2019 club winners received tote bags. For 2020 we gave away sparkly GD enamel pins. For 2021 we gave away super-bright LED flashlights. 2022 members received a pair of zippered storage pouches. 2023 members received 20th anniversary magnets and stickers and 2024 members received key chain multi-tools. For 2025 the prize will once again be a mystery until they are shipped out. All you have to do to win is post in this thread at least once per month from now (November 2024) through October 2025. 12 months, 12 posts. You can post as much or as little as you’d like. You could just post “I’m here” or give a 3,000 word monthly update on your life. It doesn’t matter. You can post more than once per month - feel free to reply to others or just be chatty in here. This is what typically happens and it has been great to see everyone posting all year long. Note that empty posts or quote-replies with no actual reply included won’t count. Anyone successfully doing this will get a prize next year. No random drawing, no luck needed. But if you miss a month, you’re out. Hopefully you stick around a little longer than the 6 seconds it takes to post each month, but that’s up to you. For the purposes of this contest, each month starts on the 1st at midnight Central time. Also, posts in this thread will not count towards any other Black Friday forum posting contests in 2024 or 2025.

The prize club ends in October each year so I'm going to close this thread. Look for the 2025 thread soon...

Time for another t-shirt contest! I've recently acquired a copy of what is essentially the 1963 Macy's Black Friday ad from the Thanksgiving 1963 newspaper. Back then they called it the "Assistant Buyers' Days Sale" which took place on the 2 days after Thanksgiving. I've included a PDF below of the front page and 2 pages of deals (there are more pages in the ad). To enter the contest, just take a look at the ad and post your favorite deal or deals from the sale. Contest will be open until 11:59pm CT on Wednesday, November 6th. I will then randomly choose 5 members who entered and you'll each win a limited edition Black Friday t-shirt! If you've already won a shirt, feel free to enter the contest for fun Good luck to everyone! macys-1963-black-friday-ad.pdf

Gottadeal Forum and websites purchasing question
Brad replied to packratfamily's topic in Discuss GottaDEAL
GottaDEAL itself has no tracking that would be affected by browser settings. Theoretically if you click on any of the links on the site, forum or in the newsletters we send that should be enough to give us credit for the sale. The companies that manage the affiliate accounts for retailers do a good job of staying ahead of the various browser settings and blocks to ensure that clicks are still attributed to the source so you shouldn't need to change any settings to make sure we get credit. The only issue we come across is for some retailers if you have their app installed and you click on a link on GD and it opens their app, they lose that source tracking but most of the major retailers still track even in their app so it's not worth worrying about.- 1 reply

Limited edition Black Friday t-shirts to be given away this year
Brad replied to Brad's topic in Black Friday Discussion
Forgot to mention this earlier but for cost-saving reasons (I love a deal...), there are slightly different versions of the shirts. Some will be regular black, others will be a dark charcoal heather. There are several different brands of shirts as well but they all have the same design. The first batch will ship out this week. -
Scans: https://gottadeal.com/scans/costco-black-friday-sale As always this is their bigger Holiday Savings book with sets of deals for earlier in November as well. Page 23 has online Thanksgiving Day deals and page 24 starts the BF weekend deals. costco-black-friday-sale.pdf

Time for another contest! With this contest you can enter up to 10 times and because we're also giving away a gift card you can enter even if you've already won a shirt this year - see below for details. To be entered to win, reply to this thread with a link to something on Amazon that you think would make a unique gift idea and post a sentence or two about what it is and what kind of person you think it would appeal to. For gift ideas, check out Amazon's Holiday Gift Guide hub. The contest will run through Sunday, October 27th at 11:59pm CST. At that point I'll randomly pick 1 winner that will receive a $25 Amazon gift card and 5 winners that will each get one of our limited edition Black Friday t-shirts. Important! You can post to enter the contest once per day (each day ends at midnight CST) for up to 10 total entries. However to make things easier when picking winners, please do not post in the thread more than once per day. You can edit and add additional items to your original post for that day if you'd like to post additional gift ideas. Good luck! And in case you didn't see it, here is this year's shirt design:
