  1. Right, we're adding a bunch that anyone can choose from (some were added tonight, more to come). But if you have at least 25 posts you can upload a custom avatar of whatever you'd like. Just make sure its small enough (requirements are listed on the "edit avatar" page) and isn't animated. Edit Avatar: http://forums.gottadeal.com/profile.php?do=editavatar
  2. All of you who've replied have well over 25 posts, so you could have pretty much any avatar you want right now. Just go into your profile and change it. No need to wait for me to add them to the forum's "library" of avatars.
  3. It's been a few years since we've updated the "stock" avatars that the forum has built-in and so it's about time we give them a facelift. So, for those of you who have at least 25 posts (and therefore have the ability to have a custom avatar), if you are currently using one of the "stock" avatars, I'd suggest you save it to your computer just in case yours is one that doesn't make the cut. If you log in one day and see you don't have an avatar, you can re-upload it and all will be well (or just choose a new one if you aren't too attached to the old one). If you have less than 25 posts (and therefore can't have a custom avatar yet), you really don't have much of a choice. If your avatar goes away, you'll have to select a new one. We'll do our best to keep the more popular ones, but a lot of them (like the sport team logos) will get updates, so you'll have to re-select your favorite team with the new design. If anyone has any suggestions for new categories to add, feel free to post here. We'll likely make these changes in the next week. To change your avatar or view the categories available, go here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/profile.php?do=editavatar&categoryid=3
  4. Now that Cyber Monday is over for at least one time zone, I've moved most of the threads from that forum to the Dead & Expired Deals forum. A few like Walmart, Amazon, Target, etc... are going on all week, so those have been moved to the main Online Deals forum. Any future deals you find and would like to share (which we definitely encourage!) should be posted in the main Online Deals forum (and that's also how you can win a prize in our Holiday Giveaway ) And now, everything in this area of the forums will stay the same for the next month or so, and then near the end of the year, all the Black Friday (and Holiday) forums will be merged into one mega-forum and archived along with the other past 7 years' threads. So feel free to keep discussing any Black Friday topics in here. We're not kicking you out just yet
  5. it's not sad at all
  6. First was Black Friday Deals Week, next was Cyber Monday Deals Week. Now on their site they mention that from December 4 through December 10 the page will be called "Holiday Flurry Deals". So you can assume they'll keep up the lightning deals. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=cm2011_faq?ie=UTF8&docId=1000456571&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=left-1&pf_rd_r=0R9BABXWMD6HH8PP04B3&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1332919482&pf_rd_i=384082011
  7. I'd suggest overhauling the design and try to show all the charts without the horizontal scrolling (vertical scrolling is fine of course), especially for those with smaller monitors or browsing on tablets. And increase the font size so things are easier to read. I noticed that on a lot of the columns, the header label was wider than any of the actual data in the chart, so to save width, maybe have the labels at the top of the charts (at least for columns where the data is just a few characters - yes/no, a single number, etc...) shown vertically at a 90 degree angle so it's tall, not wide.
  8. Not really. TRU's site doesn't let you sort by % off. Here is a link I came up with for all the sale items sorted by lowest price: http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?s=A-StorePrice-TRUS&fbc=1&searchURL=false&categoryId=10952404&fbn=StorePrice|%240.01+-+%243000.00&fr=StorePrice%2FTRUS%2F00000001%2F00300000&pg=1
