If your company has a Dell EPP plan, you can use this coupon for $750 off the notebooks, plus you will get your company discount on top of that. Usually that's around 12% for a small to medium sized business.

Do you guys recommend anything other than the 700M for a laptop that will be used for business trips etc. I want a light traveler with a good battery life.

If you're talking just the Inspiron line, then yes, the 700m would be the best choice. Just make sure you get the bigger battery for the extra battery life. I've traveled with my 700m a few times and it's been really nice.

How is wifi access on these machines? How far will it pull a signal from? I know someone who has an averatec and my toshiba has better signal strength/detection etc.. than the averatec and it is 2 years older.
