mrn8
If your company has a Dell EPP plan, you can use this coupon for $750 off the notebooks, plus you will get your company discount on top of that. Usually that's around 12% for a small to medium sized business.

ihsteven
Do you guys recommend anything other than the 700M for a laptop that will be used for business trips etc. I want a light traveler with a good battery life. -Steven

Just make sure you get the bigger battery for the extra battery life. I've traveled with my 700m a few times and it's been really nice. BTW, coupon is now active! mrn8
Hmmm...looks like the 12% comes off of the total after the $750 off coupon, which puts it at $832. Thoughts?

ihsteven
How is wifi access on these machines? How far will it pull a signal from? I know someone who has an averatec and my toshiba has better signal strength/detection etc.. than the averatec and it is 2 years older. -Steven
RossMAN
Steven, My 700m which has the Intel 2200 (802.11b/g) has great signal strength. Dell used to offer a choice of Dell 1350/1450 or Intel 2200/2915 wireless card but it seems that's no longer the case? The Dell 1350 might have slightly better performance over the Intel 2200.http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=65940
