Actually this is a superior digicam in every aspect.

 

The Samsung V700 was a price mistake for only $100, if those orders actually ship then that's a very hot deal. As for which digicam is better, the Canon SD400 wins.

I skimmed both reviews and they both seem to be glowing reviews. I honestly don't know enough to say one is better than the other. They both seem to have similiar pricing points.

Like RossMAN said, there's a 99% chance you won't get the Samsung (I didn't even bother ordering), but this is as close to a sure deal as you can get.

Yeah, the cam is a little better, I was talkin about the deal though :) that is, if it goes through, been a day and hasn't been canceled yet so there's still a little bit of hope.

Actually, the reviews on the Samsun were very mixed. He liked the size and features, but not the pictures that it took. Seeing as the picture quality is the entire reason for the camera, that's not a good thing.

 

The Canon sensor is much higher quality, and it will end up lasting for a much longer amount of time. The cheaper sensors lose the cripsness on the edges of pictures after a year or two. Canon will take just as good of a picture new as it will 5 years from now, if it's taken care of (and sometimes not). My old S110 Elph still takes great pictures, so I keep it around as a pocket sized camera.
