Thanks so much for posting this!! I've been waiting for the additional 40% off to stock up on my kids' clothes. Also found a lot of Dooney and Bourke handbags that were on sale. All the Coach had been purchased but there were still lots of really nice leather handbags left. Didn't have a chance to look at the misses clothing or shoes, but really happy with my purchases for the boys. Thanks again!! . . . maybe a second run tomorrow to buy myself something.:)

Around here, they've started giving the Dillards cardholders access to the discount a day early, so any real hopes of getting in on any selection of Coach sale bags might possibly require signing up for their credit card. I did it yesterday while I was there only for the reason of shopping the sale a day early. I didn't find any great stuff in the kids dept though. Dillards stopped carrying a lot of the real name brand stuff for kids (Polo and Hilfiger specifically), and I've noticed a lot less stock in general for their kids dept. (at least around here). One store had a ton of Webkins clearanced down to $6.99 and then 40% off of that... made them a little over $4 each. Not bad for my Webkinz crazed child. I did find a neat Coach Hamptons Archive bag (reg. $358 down to $107), but that was at about noon and there wasn't much left to pick from the Coach counter...

We love the Levi's board shorts and those were marked to 14.99, so I got them for 8.99 and the selection was still pretty good. Also had tons of polos, so my oldest is set. Next year he starts middle school and they don't wear uniforms, so I think I've got a good head start.

I wasn't too surprised that all the Coach purses were gone. Last time they did the 40% off I was lucky enough to find a red leather "Zoe"(I think that's right?) by Coach and when I went to check out, the clerk said that she couldn't believe my luck because as soon as they go on sale, people come in and by them all up to resale on ebay! So, I wasn't holding my breath, but managed to get a really nice D&B for next spring. I'm not crazy about the signature/logo stuff all of over the bags (why I love the leather Zoe), so the D&B will be a new adventure, but at 40% off the clearance price, I'll give it a try!!:yup:

Yeah, I agree with the Coach...it is todays Liz Claiborne anymore. Time for some Prada! I refuse to buy Coach anymore, everyone has one and the outlets are everywhere with styles they make of lesser quality to sell there, just not what it use to be.

Going to another Dillards today, but sure it will be the same thing. Dillards Clearance store is in Cincinnati, so who knows what they have. Anyone know?

Glad you all were able to find the heads-up useful. It's my favorite sale. I bought way too many purses (although there were lots and lots of D&B and Coach - I wasn't there for those) and way too many pairs of shoes. I like to hit as many Dillards as I can. For me its the thrill of the hunt for a good deal! Glad I am not the only one!

I read your post on Wed. and flew out of the house! I ended up with 4 purses, 2 Francesco Biasia, 1 DKNY, and a Michaels Kors. After markdowns total was $281, retail would have been $1280! I had been saving a GC from my in-laws thinking it had $50 on it but ended up being $100 so I walked away at $181. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!!
