laptop power cord

I have a dell insprion 1525 laptop. My power cord appears to have a short in it. It was doing ok and now it is not working at all. I need a replacement but do not have $80+ to spend on it from dell or best buy. Can anyone recommend a univerasal cord and find a good deal?

That is my computer. I have blue. I love it.

 

My husband works on computers. He says you should really get the Dell power cord. He says the universal ones can really mess with your battery then you can end up spending more money to get a new battery and charger.

 

You might want to try ebay? And I didn't ask my husband on this, I just did a search, but this looks like the one you want.

I agree.....buy a Dell power cord. I bought a generic power cord for my HP, and it got really, really hot when I was using it, and quit working after a few months. Ebay has pretty good prices on the HP chargers, so you might check there for the Dell.
