Virginia Beach Vacation (renting a house in Sandbridge Beach) - Any advice???

So since our Mexico vacation just fell through (for obvious reasons) we are now driving two vans from CT down to Virginia - renting a big house with in-door pool on Sandbridge Beach - next Sat.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do there, places to eat, etc.

Busch Garden is about the only major attraction I see in the area??

Also if anyone has driven that same path before and/or any other relevant advice on driving with kids and getting deals along the way..

I would love to hear all of your guys stories..

Thanks!

Yes, Busch gardens is not far also there's williamsburg and jamestown. Va. Beach has an aquarium. There's the Va. Sports Hall of Fame and an Air Museum nearby. Also check out Oceana, you can take a tour of the base, little boys love it. There's also Fort Story. Also you can go on the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel, there's a restaurant on it and a pier you can walk on. Also see the wild horses at chicoteague. Have fun and Welcome to Virginia:g_dance:

Thank You. We do have 3 boys traveling with us (ages: 2, 4, 5) :)

Thanks so much for the great info!!!

What's the weather like?? We're assuming the ocean will be too cold to swim in but is it good weather for kids to play on the beach?

Thanks!

I haven't seen the weather forcast yet, but yes the water is going to be too cold, but playing on the beach, yes indeed. Also a long time ago, I know you could go aboard and take a tour of a navy carrier.
