What are RR?

RR is short for register rewards. Walgreens will offer these register rewards if you buy a certain quantity or dollar amount of specified products (you can find them listed in the weekly circular). These register rewards can be used like cash on your next purchase. However, you have to be careful with register rewards. They usually expire 2 weeks from the issue date.

Things to Remember……

At most stores, you are only able to use one register reward coupon per transaction.

Another hang up with RR, is say you make a purchase, and use your RR to pay for the item(s), and the item(s) you purchase are part of a RR deal... your new RR will not print out.

Your pretax total must be more or equal to your RR amount in order for you to redeem RR.

RR count as manufacturer coupons as far as the register is concerned, and you are only allowed to use as many man. Q's as you have items. However, you can use a man. Q, store Q, and pay with a register reward - just make sure you have a filler item. Recently it has been noted that if you use your RR first, you don't need a filler item....YMMV.

If you don't get your RR, contact the Catalina company...

What is the Easy Saver Catalog?
The Easy Saver Catalog lists all the monthly Walgreens deals with coupons and rebate information for the products listed in the catalog. This catalog is available in the front of the store by the weekly sales ads or can be found on-line.

You can mail your rebates in or use the newly available on-line system here:

It was a typo on my part. There are $2 MFR Q out there from magazines and some were in pamper's packs (I think). There will probably be a MFR Q in this month's P&G insert. Not sure what $$$ amount it will be though. Also, I believe CVS has this deal going on with the razor for the next couple of weeks so you could get it there also. HTH.

I saw $4 Venus ones on Ebay if you prefer to go that route.

If you pay for something with a RR can you still get a rebate? I think I saw someone mention earlier they were using their RR from Pepsi to buy the free makeup, but I wanted to double check.

Sorry for all of my questions! For something like the Vick's RR...if I have coupons, I need to spend $20 before coupons to get the $10 RR. Is that right? I have a lot of money in my FLEX account for work that needs to be spent this month, so I will be buying TONS of Vicks stuff. I wish I had stocked up on Aleve 2 weeks ago.

Woohoo! There is a Kmart nearby, but I haven't been inside.

Plan this week:

Fusion Razor: 8.99 - 4.00 coupon = 4.99 + receive $6 RR
Venus Razor: 8.99 - 2.00 coupon - 6.00 RR = 0.99 paid.

Two razors for about 6 dollars and tax isn't bad.

GO BRUINS!

Well, I had to get the manager called this morning because my $6 RR for the Fusion didn't print out... Ryan comes over (my usual manager I deal with) plus another guy. Apparently he is our district manager. He was there just checking out the store. After they figured why my RR didn't print (power went out last night so they though that was the problem), the district manager saw that I was using a lot of the ESC coupons. He told me that "use them now because after March Walgreen's is doing away with the Easy Saver Book. We are going with Register Rewards and Catalina's ONLY." This sorta is a bummer as I get so much for free or almost free by combining the Wags ESC coupons and MQ coupons. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes.

What are Catalinas? (sorry for my ignorance) Rats on the ESC ending. I just transferred 2 prescriptions and got two $25 gift cards and was plotting how I was gonna basically roll that over every month! I guess I'll have to look into the RR portion and ... whatever Catalinas are ... (we just got our first Walgreens in this area about six months ago)

Catalinas are any coupon that prints out of that little machine next to the register (the same one the RR come out of). You can find catalina's at lots of other stores too...grocery stores, k-mart, etc. HTH!

I haven't been able to use Wags ESC & MQ coupons together for a few months now. They told me that the Wags ESC's are the same as MQ coupons so I can't use them both together. I can still use the walgreens ad coupons with MQ's though. So I wonder if they are still doing MIR's??
