It represents a coming of age, an acknowledgment by family that the girl is now a young lady. tjarena......that would be great if you could find some and we could work something out email please if you do find any.... I've learned my lesson from hearing horror stories about people taking souveniers (sp?) from various Islands. We even have friends who came back from vacation (I think it was Hawaii) and brought back some sand in the bottles. Well they had like 3 relatives die in their family and some other bad things happen so they shipped it back.. Bad luck ended after that.Now, I'm not a very supersticious person but when we went to Hawaii I made sure not to bring anything back

Sometimes there are tons of shells on the beaches and sometimes there are none. I have to wait until the cold snap is over though. Today it is only going to be about 60, should warm up back into the 70's over the weekend.

debbha Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 If you have a Dollar General, I know that I'd seen shells there. Also in Dollar Tree. I seem to remember some that you could put in a glass lamp. All were less than $2 a bag. HTH.
