I hit the target toy sale and still have some toys from last years amazon toys sale, so my storage room looks like a toy store!!! My question is what are some things you stock up for adults?

Thanks, Steph

I give everyone in my family a stocking (essentially do it in a giftbag since its easier to fit things into) and it includes soaps, scrubbies, little gadgets they may like, women might get figurines, candy. Collect clothing, dig frames, cute frames, socks, hobby items if they have one-do all this throughout the year so not so overwhelmed at Christmas

I bought San Francisco Music Box Company Christmas Snow Globes at 66% off, and give those as gift (one per couple). They are beautiful and everyone enjoyed them this year, so I've already bought them for next year. Sometimes I do Yankee Candle (their sale is happening now).

I bought some Yankee Candle items, picked up a wooden valet with electrical hook-ups @ Target clearance, a spice set with 2010 expiration date, some Victoria Secret houseshoes, Aloe socks from Bath & Body, some Santa mugs from Kohls and a windchime from Joann's.

I make sets, like I will put the socks with a mug and some premium cocoa or a book. The spice set with a gift card from the local grocery store.

I buy Yankee candles every year and no one knows that they are from the previous year, or that they were 50%-75% off. I have a tendency to over buy because an item was 1/2 price. A friend of mine says "if my gift limit is $25 than that's what I spend. If I got a good deal and paid $13 because it was on sale, then that's alll they get. How do they know it was on sale?" I need to try to follow that advice since I feel guilty and get the candle PLUS a frame or something else. This year will be more frugal since the economy is not doing well. I am already buying gifts for Christmas. If you know that you get gifts at "Target" or where ever you can purchase small giftcards (like $10 or $20) through the year and use them Black Friday or when you come across an awesome deal, but don't have the money in your budget.

This year I bought Plush Throw Blankets from Kohl's during their Black Friday Sale. Paid $7.xx down from orig. 35.xx. I bought one for each household (ant & uncle, grandma, parents, cousin, etc.) BTW those are great!!! Def. getting at least one more for us this BF.

I also create picture calendars (with kids) for some relatives and esp. all those living in another state. Not too much discount on those but works out great with free shipping coupons and such.

BTW: when I read your title that's not what I thought this thread would be about ;):)

I buy all year, picture frames, candles, anything I think they might like at a good price. I have 3 boxes of toys for next year already. Axe gift sets for my ds12, bathsets for dd19 or anyone else I may need them for.
