Is Newegg a good place to buy laptop?

I was just wondering if anyone has had good/bad experience when purchasing a laptop or larger electronics from Newegg? I want to order a laptop but thier return policy has me scared so I thought I would see what regulars to this website thought about the company itself or the products they offer. Thanks in advance.

I have always had great service from Newegg and I think most would agree with me. You can also go to www.resellerratings.com and see others opinions. I think they have a pretty standard return policy when it comes to an electronics/computer website.

After 15 years of buying computers for my kids, I would buy from no one but Dell. They came directly to my home next day and fixed any problems, even when a storm blew out my modem. My youngest just bought a gateway and we had to mail it to a repair center and it's onlly a few months old. The Circuit City desktop was a nightmare. Threw it away to get rid of it and still under warranty they wouldn't even look at it. Ssaid when it quit completely to call them. Can't go wrong with a Dell, even to save a few dollars.

Well not sure about laptops... But over all I have been Very Happy with Newegg...

I had to return a hard drive once... went very smooth...

Newegg is very reputable. My daughter just bought a laptop on Dec 26 from them. We looked everywhere and the one they had was the best by far of any we could find online and in store.

Shipped out quickly too. So far she is happy!
